Chapter 6: Negotiation

"Yeah. He actually asked for sex" I told Rose while staring at the ceiling. I had to go to work in two hours and I was feeling a lot better because I got to sleep last night.

"How is he? Physically?" Rose asked from beside me. This was like our ritual: Laying in bed and gossiping before going to work.

"Sexy as hell" I breathed out.

"Are you attracted to him?"

"Obviously. He stated that he needed only a pure sexual relationship. Nothing more" I told her.

"Then accept" Rose told me as if it was a simple matter.

"I cannot accept that easily. I'll discuss with him tonight and then we'll see" I told her with a sheepish smile.

"Seriously, when is the last time you got laid?" Rose asked as she sat up and stared at me.

"It's been a while" I admitted.

"Then it will be good to you" Rose said with a grin. "You'll get to release some stress and frustration. Thus, you'll be less bitchy" she said with a wicked grin, making me gasp. I chuckled and threw a pillow on her face. Just then, my phone rang from under my pillow. I rose my head and looked for my phone. As soon as I got it, I let my head fall on the soft pillow again. A smile lit my face when I saw my sister's beautiful face on my screen. I quickly slide the answer button.

"Good afternoon" I heard my sister's soft voice greet with amusement. Rose smiled and motioned me to put the phone on loud speaker. Alena was really close to Rose and I.

"Afternoon" Rose and I greeted at the same time. I could hear my sister breath in relief when she heard our voices.

"Girls, I seriously miss you" she said softly. We could hear people talking in the background. "Athena, please tell me you'll be coming to my wedding" she pleaded. I could sense that she was upset. Rose glared at me as I was going to answer.

"I'm still thinking about it, Lena" I told her sincerely.

"I can't believe that you're reluctant to come to my wedding because of mom and dad" she exclaimed. This time, I sighed. "I want you here. Rose will be with you" She pointed out. Rose nodded eagerly with a bright smile on her face.

"If you want me to come, I'll be bringing Tommy too. Whether your parents like it or not, I'm bringing my little brother" I told her. I could hear her sigh.

"So you're coming?" she asked, hope lacing her words. A smile adorned my face as I could feel her happiness.

"Yes. I'll be coming!" I exclaimed, causing my sister to squeal. I laughed and pulled the phone away from our ears. A chuckle left my mouth as I saw Rose flinched.

"Bitch, you made me go deaf" Rose swore as she stood up and stretched her body.

"Oops sorry" Alena laughed. "What are you girls up to?" she then asked in a bored tone.

"We have to leave for work in a few minutes" I told her. Alena didn't know about our job and we weren't planning on telling her about it either. She thinks that we babysit children at night. "What about you?" I questioned while pulling the blanket off me. Rose opened the door of my room and walked out while yawning.

"Mom brought me to a bakery to taste different cake flavors" she snapped. My sister hated to do stuffs like this. I chuckled and rolled my eyes.

"Where is she?"I asked.

"Somewhere around. I don't really care. I'm just glad that I'm getting to eat cake for free" she said, making me giggle. Alena hated what my parents did too. She hated how they reacted towards Tommy. But she didn't want to cut all ties with them, like I did. Unlike me, she was pretty mature but again, she was twenty five years old. Even though people might say that I reacted immaturely, I completely assume my decision. My parents thought that Tommy wasn't worthy of them. Well, by my side, that day, I decided that my parents weren't worthy of me. "Oh well, she's back. I'm going to talk to you later" Alena said with a sigh.
