Hazel went up to Kara's black-painted room with way too many band posters and found her going through her closet, some clothes on the floor, some on the bed, some on her desk. Hazel quietly walked behind Kara and jumped on her.
"AHHH," Kara yelled. "WHAT THE FRICK WAS THAT FOR?!"
"Frick?" Hazel questioned.
"Yeah," Kara laughed. "I can't actually swear when my mum is home."
"True," Hazel agreed. "Now, why aren't you dressed?"
"Because I have nothing to fucking wear!" Kara replied in a quieter voice. "Help me Hazel."
"Okay, okay, fine." Hazel said as she started looking through Kara's closet, which consisted of black, black, dark colours and a hint of white.
Hazel took a few shirt out and put them back in, until she found a cute black crop top with white grid detailing.
"This looks cute," Hazel said, shoving the top in Kara's face. "Where do you keep your pants and stuff?"
"Over here." Kara said, walking over to a light brown, wooden dresser and opened a few drawers.
The two drawers Kara pulled out were filled with multiple pairs of skinny jeans, mostly black, tights, also all black, and a few shorts, which were surprisingly mostly lighter colours. Hazel looked through all the bottoms and found some high-waisted black shorts. She took them out the drawer and lightly threw it on Kara's face, although Kara's ands were out to take them.
"Wow," Kara laughed. "Thanks for handing it over to me."
"You're welcome." Hazel smiled innocently as she bent down to pick up the pair of shorts that fell. "Now go try these on."
Hazel gestured for Kara to the washroom to get dressed as she told her she'd be waiting in her room. Kara obediently followed the instruction given and walked out of the room, to the washroom. As Kara was changing, Hazel went onto Instagram on her phone and scrolled through her feed. Shout-outs, Hazel thought in disgust. What the fuck, their bio says no shout-outs! This is bullshit.
"Does it look okay?" Kara said as she walking into the room.
Kara was wearing exactly what Hazel gave her, plus her all-black converse, which she always wore.
"Damn girl," Hazel commented. "Better watch out for them guys tonight."
"You don't look to bad yourself." Kara laughed.
"Why thank you, fine lady." Hazel laughed with Kara until they forgot about what they were laughing about.
"What time I it?" Kara asked in the middle of their conversation about a history project.
"Um," Hazel quickly took her phone out of her back pocket to check the time. "Shit, it's already 5:30. You still need make up don't you?"
"Yeah," Kara confirmed. "I also need to curl my hair but I need help 'cause I'm a dumbass."
"Okay," Hazel laughed at Kara's description of herself. "Anyways, let's start with your make up, and then I'll curl your hair."
"Okay cool, do you want to wait here while I do my makeup or do you want to come with me?" Kara asked. "'Cause I honestly don't care."
"I'll just stay here," Hazel replied. "I'll be here if you need me."
"Okay," Kara laughed for some reason. "I'll be in the washroom, if you need me that is."
Kara walked out of the room again, to the washroom as Hazel took out her phone again. Scrolling through her Instagram feed, again, and sees a picture of James and Asher on Asher's Instagram. The caption read, "First party of the year tonight, there better be food."
Wait, Hazel thought. James is going!? Kara didn't tell me that!
Hazel looked closer at the picture a saw a random guy in the background posed like a chicken. She laughed at the sight as she kept scrolling.
"Okay," Kara said as she walked back into the room. "I'm done, Harper and her sis will be here in 5."
"Okay cool." Hazel confirmed. "Aw, did you try to curl your hair?"
"Yes I did," Kara gave a Hazel a concerned face. "Does it actually look that bad?"
"No it looks great," Hazel laughed. "I was just messing with you."
"I hate you so much"
After a few minutes, the door bell rang and Kara and Hazel quickly took what they needed and headed down stairs. They saw Harper at the door, talking with Kara's Mom.
"Hey, we're here." Kara interrupted. "Should we go now?"
"Um yeah," Harper replied. "Let's go."
"Thank you for letting me stay for bit!" Hazel yelled to Kara's Mom who was still in the doorway.
"No problem, dear!" Kara's Mom replied. "Stay safe!"
Everyone got into the car and greeted each other as they started driving.
