Is This Reality?

Chapter 10

He was getting ready to speak when suddenly Lace came over and got him. She gave me a glare like she didn't want me even near him. The both walked away, I laid back down and thought to myself that me and him are never going to happen, and I had to face reality. The bell rang and I wen to my next class.

The day was going very slowly. At one point I thought I would be falling asleep. Finally the day was over I walked to the detention room. I grabbed the seat that was closest to me. I sat there feeling really nervous. After 15 minutes we were let out. When I went to the flagpole I saw my brothers car there, I was very confused that he was here, usually he never comes to pick me up. I got in the car and the whole car ride it was just silence.

Once we were home I went inside the house and went into my room and just laid on my bed. I cleared all my thoughts. I had to calm down and think I ended up taking a nap. Later that night I felt really ill.

I went to the living room and told my dad, he gave me a thermometer and it turned out that I had  100.3 degree temperature. I went to go get my makeup off and got in my pjs and went to bed to take another nap.

The whole night I was not feeling to swell, I kept getting up to use the bathroom. After I went to the bathroom I finally went to sleep. When I woke up it was pretty obvious that I didn't get much sleep at all. Thankfully I was staying home from school today because I was sick.

I spent the whole day relaxing and watching tv. I was watching Dance Moms which was one of my favorite shows that I like to watch. I looked of Facebook and soon enough I saw posts of Lace and Jacob. I felt even more sick just because I saw the pictures. I kept on watching tv so I could get my mind off of it.

It was dinner time and we were having enchiladas. When the enchiladas were ready I as so happy that I wanted to eat all of it, but that didn't go how I was planning to. I only ate half of the plate. I'm full I told my dad, he grabbed my plate and took it into the kitchen.  

Soon I went to bed and finally had a good night of sleep.

The Next Day

I got up and of course I was still sick. I was still coughing and sneezing like none other. I went into the living room and my dad could tell that I was still sick so he called the school to tell them that I was going to be out today too.

It was almost noon and Jacob just texted me.

Conversation

Jacob: Hey

Me: Hey

Jacob: Are you ok?

Me: ya, just sick

Jacob: oh that sucks

Me: ya

End Of Conversation

I set my phone down and started watching tv while I was blowing my nose. The whole day I was blowing my nose, putting on and off my blanket. It was a very bad day except for Jacob messaging me over Facebook. That was awesome.

It was 8:30pm and I suddenly got a message from Jacob.

Jacob: hey

Me: hey

Jacob: look outside

Me: why

Jacob: Just because

I did what he wanted me to do I got my uggs on and went out to my old balcony. I got another text from Jacob.

Jacob: look down

I looked down and there he was standing there with flowers and I was looking lie a total mess. I was turning bright red like a tomato. Why are you here I asked. Well, I came to see you he said. I started to turn even more red. When he saw me turning even more red he started giggling. When I saw him giggling I went back into my room. Right when I was in the doorway he caught my attention by calling out my name. I turned around to face towards him. I asked again Why are you here. I need to tell you something he said. Oh no he found out that I like him and he brought those flowers as an apology. He started speaking Sarah, I... I like you he said with a nervous face on. I started faking out n the inside. My heart beat was beating so fast that I couldn't even count. I calmed myself down and said well, I like you too, but I don't think you mean in a romantic way, right? No, I actually think it in a romantic way he said. I began to have a smile on my face. He was beginning to speak again, Sarah.. Will you go out with me. I paused for a moment and said Yes.
