Louis was standing outside of Niall's door, his breath ragged and shallow while trying to think of what to say when his friend sees him. He hasn't even rung the doorbell or knocked on the door yet because he was so nervous Niall would be furious with him. Like, who wouldn't be furious? Louis ditched him and left with Harry to the secret trail which later turned into a heated make out. What if Niall didn't want to be friends anymore?

The brown haired boy inhales loudly and shakes his head, shakily lifting up a fist and knocking three times, taking a step back and playing with the hem of his lilac dress. His legs were crossed while the tips of his shoes dug into the concrete painfully. It was quiet for a while, Louis not being able to hear any noise from inside the house until the pitter patter of walking was evident.

Louis holds his breath as the door opens rather slowly, biting back a gasp when Niall appears with dark bruises on his body — probably where Harry held him from. He knew his mouth was agape, blue eyes starting to fill with tears and he chokes on a sob that comes out of nowhere. "I'm so sorry, oh my god!" he cries out, tears now streaming down his cheeks, chest hurting even more when Niall's face stays blank.

The blonde boy stares Louis down with squinted eyes, showing no emotion whatsoever at the sight of his best friend crying. They stay like that for a while, Niall staring at the petite boy as he sobs and sobs from on the porch. Niall closes his eyes and sighs, opening the door fully and motioning for Louis to come in. "Hurry up or I'll change my mind." his voice is flat and husky.

Louis breathes in, hiccuping and walking forward so he would enter Niall's house. He settles down on the couch, biting his lower lip harshly when the blonde boy doesn't even sit next to him — like he always does — just sits on the couch across from him and looks down at his hands. Louis opens his mouth to say something, but the only thing that escapes is a soft sob. He feels terrible for crying instead of apologizing, but he can't help it when he sees Niall covered in bruises.

"I-I am so sorry for not doing anything to stop Harry. I was just in shock. A-And I'm sorry for leaving with him instead of staying with you and seeing if you were okay. I mean you obviously weren't okay, but . . ." is all he says, voice trembling and cracking from the amount of crying he had done. He searches Niall's face for any kind of emotion, his own features crumbling when he gets nothing. It's not like he expects him to forgive him right away, though.

Niall clears his throat and gets up from the couch, disappearing into the kitchen and leaving Louis alone. The petite boy tucks his legs close to his chest and rests his tear covered face on his knees, looking down at the floor and trying to think of what to say when Niall comes back. He had only gotten two minutes to think about it until the blonde haired boy came back with a Tylenol in one hand and a glass of water in the other.

Louis watched as he popped the pill in his mouth and downed it with water, looking away suddenly when they made awkward eye contact. He bit his lower lip slightly, wincing when he heard Niall cough rather loudly. "Why are you here?" Louis hears suddenly, surprising him momentarily until he regained his composure, slowly sliding his legs back down so he's sitting regularly.

"I just wanted to come to apologize." the brown haired boy pouts slightly, bottom lip wobbling. Niall puts his glass of water down on the coffee table in front of him and leans back on the couch, crossing his arms while looking straight at Louis — almost as if he were challenging to try harder.

"Alright, shall you be off now?" Niall asks and Louis gives him a confused look. "What? You said you came here to apologize and you did . . . so you can leave now." he spits out harshly, causing Louis to whimper lowly. The feminine boy nods slowly and gets up from the couch, body still trembling somehow as he walks over towards the door with a sad look set on his face. His head was low, embarrassed of getting called out again.

Louis opens the door, about to walk out but he stops himself, looking back at Niall who has an irritated look on his face as he looks a the ground while finishing the rest of his water. He opens his mouth to say something — anything, really — but nothing comes out. He takes one last glance at his (possibly still) friend and closes the door behind him, the fresh air making him feel better because he felt like he was choking in guilt.

When he turns back around he almost screams at the sight of Harry standing a couple feet away from him, large hat sitting on top of his head. Louis closes his eyes and shakes his head, thinking that this is a dream and he laughs loudly. He opens his eyes, expecting Harry to be gone but now he's standing right in front of him, looking down at him with his beautiful green eyes. "What are you doing here?" he asks while nodding his head at Niall's house.

Louis' eyebrows furrow, "What are you doing here?" he replies, fists clenching by his sides and now he's getting angry. "Are you here to give Niall another beating? Well, thanks to you he won't even look at me without a disgusted look on his face. I tried apologizing and he doesn't even care," he pauses, breathing heavily, "you know what? Thanks a lot, Harry, thank you so much for ruining the only friendship I had."

Harry had a confused look on his face, shaking his head and stretching his arms out so he could just scoop up Louis in his arms. The blue eyed boy looks down at Harry's hands and slaps them away, walking around him so he could go home and drown in misery. "Baby, don't be angry at me." Harry pleads while he follows after Louis, scared that he could lose the boy forever.

"No, Harry! Why don't you just go and hurt someone else because that seems like that's the only thing you can do."

NOTE: sorry :D
