It came out without a second thought. People turned and stared at me, but realized why. Without hesitation J.J leaped from behind the counter and to the guy. He let go of my waist and backed up towards the door. Jackson grabbed his shirt and threw him across to a girls table.

I ran over and moved the girls to another table. Before I knew it Wesley was running over to the guy and pulled him off. Jackson pushed Wesley and punched the guy multiple times. He was bleeding through the nose and a little through the mouth.

I ran over and pulled J.J off the man and put the guy out. The bar was silent and not a sound was coming from anyone. Jackson took off his apron and walked out with a stomp. Me and Delia chased after him and pulled him by the arm.

"Jackson where are you going." I asked. He turned around and looked at us both. "Home, I fucking quit, it's too much." He said storming off. I took a deep breath and crossed my arms together. So much for a peaceful shift.
...
I got home and laid on my bed
with a lowly moan. Jackson quit and Wesley almost had a huge bitch fit. Delia left to go look for Jackson and talk him straight. My phone began to buzz and I looked at it. For some reason I had the urge to turn on the tv. I grabbed the remote and turned on the news channel.

A woman with a red dress was sitting at a desk. I sat up and listened to the news.
Today at the Austin lab in Texas an emergency breaching has happened in the lab. Scientist warn anyone outside their homes go back inside and locked the doors tightly. Remain calm this is just a warning, this may not go as far as they think.

The camera was knocked over and the channel turned black and white. The only thing I could hear was constant screams. I looked at my phone and read the message from Delia.

D: can't find Jackson anywhere, scared to death about him.

A: he'll be fine, did you see the news?!?

D: yeah, pretty freaky right called the G-96 virus.

A: come over, need company

D: sure be right there ;)

I sit there for a second and think about the news. I'm in Rocksville, so I'm fine and safe from anything out there. I went over to the window and nobody was outside just complete blankness. Not a sound was outside, did people actually fall for this.

Without another second Delia came busting in the door. I closed it and looked at her. I could see the fear in her eyes, even though we just talked. She walked over to the window and closed it tightly. "What the hell D." I said. She turned around and sat on the couch.

She suddenly started to chuckle and laughed hysterically. I looked at her and pushed her on the arm. "I'm just joking, gosh your so gullible." She said giving me a push on the shoulder.
"Thats not freaking funny, you know how I am." I said. A small smirked etched on my face. I could feel her mocking me in my head.

I walked over to the tv and turned it to another channel. We both began to watch some tv and binge on snacks. Its odd, we are eating instead of wondering what's going on. In my head I'm still wondering what the big deal is in Austin.

Delia sat beside me chewing on doritoes and a whole lot of soda. "I'm gonna call Jackson, he's gotta be somewhere." Said Delia pulling out her phone. I looked at the clock and smiled. Its 8pm and that means a club is open. I grabbed her phone and threw it to the couch across from us.

"We are going to a club tonight, I don't care what you say, our club night is tonight." I said. Delia smiled and got up from the couch. I walked upstairs and grabbed two outfits. Delia followed and grinned at the outfits. "And no virus is gonna stand in our way." I said.
