I opened the door and locked it tightly. My arms shivering from thee outside world. The moonlight shined in my living room and on my couch. On the outside were a whole bunch of those things. They are fast and too fast to not catch anyone they see.

A woman was running but was caught immediately. The things are just weird, they look so abnormal. One had a tentacle and used it to eat a little girl about Mary Kate's age. I went over to the couch and began to sob. "There is no way this is real, I don't wanna do this anymore." I said to myself.

I laid down and began to close my eyes to go to sleep. Anywhere to go is fine, just as long as I'm not in this world.
...
I woke up the next morning my body aching. My eyes flickered to the outside, but nothing was there. Just an empty blankness, with cars. Sometimes I hear little snarls coming down the street.

But then I realize as long as they don't hear me and see me Im fine. My mind spins over to Hunter, Mary Kate, Delia and J.J. They must be somewhere trying to survive this predicament that we are in. I got from my couch that is now my bed and went to the window.

All I see is those things, running across the streets and around houses. The good thing is my house is heavily guarded with a durable fence, that way no one can get in. My reflection shows up and I stare at myself. There are scratches on my face and a bruise on my arm.

So far, I've made it. I can only help myself, there are no good and bad people anymore just survivors and those things. One started banging on the fence because it saw me. It just snarled and constantly banged on the fence injuring itself.

Now I know these things are stupid, like all things in the world now. I went to the kitchen and opened the fridge hoping there was at least a good amount of food left. When I opened the fridge there was nothing but peaches and fruit cups, that went old.

I closed the fridge and went over to the cabinet and opened it. Some beans and tomato soup, a lot of it too. I went over to a bag and opened it, my dad had an army bag for special emergencies. My dad, wonder what he's doing now, probably in an army base, safe from the outside world.

I grabbed each and every can of soup and beans and put them in the bag. Just in case I need to leave, anything could happen. In the back of my mind I think about a weapon. That's all I need is a weapon, anything at all. But, I can't go out there, not now.

I quickly shake the thought of a weapon and put the bag near the door. I look at my outfit and shake my head. I'm still wearing a dress, that doesn't even matter now. I go upstairs and search in my drawer. Some Cargo pants, a black tank top, some boots, and a leather jacket with sweater sleeves.

After I get on my new clothes I go to the bathroom to look at my hair. It's still in a bob and red but it's a little messed up. I take some scissors and start cutting it into a shorter style. I start by cutting the right side almost to my scalp and then I cut the other side a little to make it look one-sided.

I look at myself and smile, because I look so badass. I leave the bathroom and go down to the basement to check for water. A little box of deer park water and a water bottle. I grabbed a few and put them in my bag.

But I still need weapons, a knife or gun, anything. Mary Kate and Hunter should be OK, hopefully. They probably are somewhere, in a shelter or looking for me. I went upstairs and sat back on the couch wishing there was something, anything I could do.

I grabbed some cover and took out my phone. I looked at my bars and there was none. No cell phone connection or lines, nothing at all. I out down my phone and sat back. I have to go out, sooner or later or now. But anything could be out there, one of those things.

After I finally worked up the urge to go outside I grabbed my bag and opened the door. Even when the world is ending the sun still gleams. I took a deep breath and slowly closed the door and locked it. None of the things are out there, that's good.

I walked out of the yard and closed the fence and began to walk slowly. A little came from behind me and I froze. Just as long as they don't hear me I'm fine. I walked over to a little bush and his behind it for a second then kept walking.

At this point I'm just walking, nothing is in the streets I'm perfectly fine. A open sign was shining a few blocks. I started to run and turn my head to check for those things. The door was partially shattered open. My eyes flickered up to the name of the shop.

Guns'n Roses. This must be a gun shop. In the left corner of the store a back door was opened. My mind began to get the best of me. If I die, then thats my consequence. I walked behind the broken counters, probably raided by crazy people.

A small puddle of blood sat near the glass. Wherever that person is, they are one of those things now. I walked in the room and a little light gleamed in the center. I went over to the light and smiled at what I saw. "A machete." I said picking it up.

I turned around and looked at the outside. A big truck pulled up and two guys hopped out. I went behind the door and it came to me. "I'm trapped." I said.
