Josh nervously hovered his thumb over the 'Call' button on Skype.
He's going to hate me. He's going to wonder why he ever kiked me back in the first place. What if he thinks I'm ugly?
Josh shook the thoughts out of his head and took a deep breath, anxiety dancing through out the young man's body.
Go for it.
He closed his eyes and tapped the button, soon met by the familiar sound of the dialing ringtone.
"I'm going to fucking pass out before I can even hear his voice." Josh whispered to himself as he played with his fingers.
"What about passing out?" A soft voice spoke, startling Josh so much that he had almost fallen out of his chair.
"Wha-oh nothing. Hey how're you?" Josh replied, catching his breath after his mini heart attack.
"Ok..I am doing alright, I suppose. What about you? How was your day?"
"Well I just had a stroke, but other than that I'm good," Josh laughed "And what do you mean by you 'suppose'? Are you okay?" Josh asked, concern flooding his voice.
"I mean, I'm alive right? So that's good I guess." Tyler paused "Anyway, you should turn on your camera, I wanna see how cute you are."
"How do you know I'm not some 49 year old man?"
"I'll hang up and block you on all the social medias if you don't" Tyler sassed. Josh knew he wouldn't actually do it, but he turned on his camera anyway.
"Holy frick frack pally whack." Tyler gasped.
"Who even says that anymore? And what's wrong, am I that ugly?" Josh questioned, anxiety eating at his insides "I knew i shouldn't have called in the first place" He mumbled the lastpaet under his breath, barely loud enough for the other boy to hear.
"What? Josh no, you're fookin adorable, like if I were there right now, I would probably pinch your cheeks and ruffle your hair. You're so cute, aww look you're blushing! And if you didn't call me, I would probably cry, because hey, I'm an emotional guy." Tyler chuckled.
"Sorry..Can you turn on your camera so I can see you, pretty boy?" Josh smiled.
"Don't be sorry, there's nothing to worry about. And I'm not that much of a sight to see, but I might as well, its not like you're not gonna see me someday." Tyler smiled as ge turned on his camera.
Josh's eyes widened and he kept silent as his eyes scanned the other boy's face.
Perfect, he thought.
Tyler blushed as he spoke, "Thanks J, but I'm anything from perfect. Perfect is just a concept, you see- actually let's save that for another day. Hey, is that a drum set behind you?" Tyler asked as Josh looked behind him and nodded.
"Do you play? Actually that was a stupud question, because if you didn't play then why would you have it." Tyler ranted, earning a small chuckle from Josh.
"Yeah, I play. My mom tells me I'm really good, but I don't think so. But you know what they say, practice makes perfect. Or like you said, perfect is only a concept."
"You should play for me someday, maybe I could sing for you or play my Uke." Tyler smiled.
Josh's phone chimed, letting him know that he had received a message. He opened the notification and groaned.
"Hey, sorry about this, but I gotta go. My mom needs help organizing some stuff at her flower shop." Josh frowned.
"Wait your last name is Dun, right?" Josh nodded "Dun as in Dun's Flower & Decor?" Again, Josh nodded.
"Yeah, my great grandmother opened the store about 36 years ago."
"Dude! I live literally 2 minutes away from that shop, I could meet you there!" Tyler chimed and Josh's eyes lit up.
"Awesome dude, I'll meet you there."
"Sick!"
"Sick as frick! Anyways, I gotta blast, or else my mom will yell at me. See you in like 10 minutes. Josh smiled and hung up. Today was just getting better.
