We were alerted of the news at midnight exactly on the fifth month after Blaze's very eventual funerual. Luna, the dragon, the pixie and I rushed to the princess' bed chamber.
"Where is the new little cutie." the pixie asked using the dragons head to climb up onto the bed in order to take a look at the baby in the princess arms.
"Is it a boy or girl?" Luna chirped. The princess beamed. "A boy." I had never seen the princess look so happy. Even though she was sweaty and exhausted from just giving birth her eyes glowed brightly.
We all gathered around the bed as each of us caught our breath in wonder at what we saw.
"What did you name him?" the dragon asked.
"Blazemyster." the princess giggled. It really didn't come as a shock as to why the princess had called the little prince Blazemyster. Apart from the scar the true Blaze had, the baby looked identicle to his father...he even had hair with a fringe of fire.
Each of us exchanged a look as smiles spread throughout our faces. I laughed. "What do you know. Blaze turned out to be a king after all...now his son can carry on in his place."
The princess nodded delightedly. Luna began gently stroking the babies cheek. Prince Blazemyster grabbed hold of her finger and opened his eyes. His eyes were the brightest gold anyone could have ever imagioned. And as he looked at Luna his eyes gleamed.
We all knew in that second what Blaze had said at the funerual was right. The story was very far from over. And we all had a new form of love and hope in hearts and within our souls that no longer were shadows but were filled with light.
And Blaze got the thing he deserved and desired above all else...the chance to be real...and live.
