" Gahhh! " Tripping over the pile of stones in my way, I stood up, and continued walking, slightly irritated
I was walking through the woods, trying to figure out that horrible thing making noise behind me. I was frightened of what it could be. Maybe a hunter, some small rabbit, or just my imagination.
The more I walked the louder the sound became. My ears kept tingling by the sound, and the sound wasn't good.
It was as if someone was chasing me, and had I realized, I started breathing harder, my heart beat racing. It was like -12 degrees celsius here, but I felt small drops of what seemed to be sweat. Sweating from my anxiety.
As I walked, I hoped that the farther I walked, the softer the sound became; but...no
It even became worse.
The shuffling and the sound of snow was harshly being swept off. While I was pacing up my speed, I was tense and my mind started going blank. Sure, it was cold but, I felt shivers that only fear could create; and was I right, I was filled with fear at that very moment.
I was practically running, I didn't realize until...
At the same time I was hearing those noises, a part of me started to feel frozen, as if it had been dragging on the snow for a long time.
I ignored that feeling and continued running.
Running was the only thing I could think of, besides the snow freezing up a part of my body
I ran for quite awhile and stopped, thinking...
I had enough.
I turned around and shouted, widening my eyes " What the hell do you want from me?! " I screamed at the top of my lungs but to find....no one there.
I stomped and scoffed " Could my day get any WORSE?! "
Basically, what my day had been was picking apples. Messing up some cookies I made. Accidentally, setting the kitchen on fire...
Yes. The first one may actually seem pretty easy but; You think picking apples are a piece of cake?
Well....no
The apple trees here were mostly 10 feet tall or the shortest, 5.
It required a strong, energetic, young wo- WOMAN, to climb these trees.
Anyways, I continued to stroll around the woods gripping my hood to my face. It was getting colder, but luckily this special cape my grandma made me, before she told me to leave, was extraordinarily warm and soft.
It was especially handmade and the special thing about it was it hid my wol- ....
You know what never mind let's not talk about my cape, it's too boring...moving on
Smelling the fresh air, I took a stroll around the Shadowless Woods.
It's not any normal forest you could find; the trees seem to have no shadow whatsoever, despite the sun's rays pointing towards them.
" These wonderful, magical things are so pleasing to the eye! " I skipped and smiled, spreading my arms out, spinning around " And it's all for me! Woooooo! " I rejoiced and continued my little walk
After reaching a small pond, I bent down and dipped the tip of my finger in the water, swirling it around and making tiny water ripples and waves
After awhile, I stopped and tilted my head towards the heavens
" It's almost getting late " I said and sighed, looking up the sky that had once been blue, but is now a gloomy shade of grey
I walked through the ankle deep snow and paced it up a bit, heading towards the direction of what I call " home "
Walking through the deeper part of the woods, I couldn't bare to ignore the beautiful, red, shiny, juicy looking apple up in the tree. Luckily, it was just at the height where I can tiptoe and grab it. So I did. I tiptoed with all my strength [ since I'm kinda short ] and my fingers just an inch away from the smooth, red surface.

I was so excited, I could almost taste it.
But...well
I was wrong.
" WHOOSH! THUCK! "
An arrow. Right beside my apple, which could have nearly jabbed my hand open. I knew at that moment...it wasn't the time to be picking apples.
