***Antonio Dawson's POV***
"When can I see her?" I ask Will Halstead. He puts a hand on my shoulder. "Let's sit." He gestures for me to sit on the bench in a hall in the Emergency Department.
"When can I see her?" I repeat.
Will sighs and leans back, keeping his eyes on me. "Arbor is in shock right now."
"Obviously." I scoff, annoyed by the fact I'm not with her right now.
"Let me rephrase that." Will pauses. "Arbor has gone through a huge trauma and as a result of that, she's developed severe depression."
"Do you think this is going to last?" I ask, my heart constricting.
He shrugs. "I honestly don't know. With this and so many other things, it's hard to tell."
We've been siting here in the waiting room for hours now. Erin and Voight are in the cafeteria getting us some dinner.
"Is her cancer back?" I ask, remember all of the bruises all over her small, frail body.
Will's face goes blank. "I can't disclose any information like that. I'm sorry."
"Oh my God." I feel myself starting to fall apart. "It's back." I say, the words make me shake with fear as they roll off my lips.
Will simply puts his hand on my shoulder and looks me in the eyes. His eyes are filled with compassion and sorrow, something I will never forget. "I'm so sorry." He whispers. "Would you like to see her?"
I nod and wipe the tears out of my eyes. "Yes, I'd like to go see her."
Will stands up and leads me down a long, white corridor. We walk into a room on the left and I see Arbor laying in her bed, staring at the ceiling.
"Hey Arbor, it's Doctor Halstead. I have Antonio with me. He wants to see you." He tells her in a soft voice.
She turns her head to peak at me then quickly looks away when we make eye contact. It kills me that she is this afraid of everything now.
Will walks past me and whispers, "It's just from shock."
I nod and whisper in reply, "Thank you." Then I walk over to her bed cautiously and look over her. "Hi, Arbor." I whisper but she doesn't look at me. "I've really missed you."
She doesn't look at me and it makes me want to double over in pain.
"I love you." I whisper and sit down beside her bed.
As I sit down, she looks over and her eyes roam over me. "You're the one who saved me." She says in a child like voice.
"Yes." I reply with a smile as my stomach flips. "Do you know my name?"
"No." She says sadly and looks away with a pouting
"I'm Antonio." I croak, feeling like I'm going to pass out from shock. Arbor doesn't know my name. My Arbor doesn't know my name.
"Hi, Antonio." She tells me with a high pitched, child like voice. "I'm Sandy."
"Sandy?" I question with extreme confusion now.
