****Arbor Alexander's POV****

I'm sitting here, looking at him in complete silence. My mouth hangs open as I can't believe the words that are coming from him.

"Remission?" I croak with disbelief as soon as I can form words.

Dr. O'Connor nods with a large smile. "Yes, it's amazing because remission usually doesn't happen twice with just chemo therapy for patient's with AML, but you're a lucky one." He puts a hand on my shoulder and gives the frail part of my body a gentle squeeze. "Call Antonio. You can leave today."

It's been a month since I was admitted and I'm leaving today. I'm already in remission because the chemo worked so quickly. It's truly a miracle and I can't believe it.

Dr. O'Connor stands up and so do I. I can't help myself when I pull him into a huge hug. "Thank you so much!" I cry as I squeeze him hard. I'm so happy I can't help it. I didn't think remission was possible twice. The joy that's overcoming me is ridiculous.

"Thank you for what?" Antonio's voice calls from the entrance to my room.

I let go of Dr. O'Connor and sprint the twenty feet to Antonio. He catches me in his arms as I plant a kiss on his lips. "I'm in remission!" I shout with a laugh as soon as I pull my lips off his.

Antonio looks at me with a huge grin that incompases his face. "Remission?" He shouts. I nod and kiss him again. He kisses me back then picks me up and spins me around happily. "I can't believe it!" He cries with joy. The joy I'm feeling is contagious and he's caught it.

"I'm being discharged right now." I say as he sets me back down.

"You're free?" He jokes then looks at Dr. O'Connor. "Thank you so much." He tells him and extends his hand to shake it.

"I'm glad that this is over." He says to Antonio with a huge smile. "Now take her home and I don't ever want to see you back here."

"I don't plan on it." I giggle and am wrapped into another hug by Antonio.

"Let's get you out of here." He whispers and kisses my cheek.

"Let's do it." I agree.

*****************************************

The first place Antonio takes me is Hanks house. I practically jump out of the car while it's still moving and sprint up the sidewalk. I knock on the door rapidly on Hank's door.

When he opens the door and I see his face, I lunge forward into his chest. "I'm cancer free, Dad!" I cry happily.

He doesn't even know what hits him, but he manages to wrap his arms around me. "Arbor, I'm so happy!" He cries too and we keep the hug going for a long moment. Eventually, he pulls me out of it and looks at me. "You are my kid. You're a fighter."

I smile up at him, fighting the tears from pooling in my eyes. "I love you, Dad."

"I love you too." He grins. "Where's Dawson?" He asks as he looks around me, expecting to see Antonio behind me.

I shrug. "I guess he figured we'd like to have this moment to ourselves. Wanna go grab a drink and celebrate?"

Hank bites his lip and puts his arm around my shoulders. "You're damn right I do."

We walk out of his house and to Antonio's car. Hank climbs in the back and we drive off to Mollys. I think about telling Antonio for us to go somewhere else because I know how much Matt Casey hates Hank, but I'm hoping that today will be different and we can all celebrate together.

"So you're officially free from that hospital?" Hank asks from the back seat.

I laugh happily. "Damn right I am." I say as we pull up outside of Molly's.

"Are you sure you want me to come in with you guys?" Hank asks, treading carefully.

"Just keep your head down. I'm hoping the news of my remission will be enough to keep Matt from trying to rip your head off." I chuckle and unbuckle. I get out of the car and put my arm in Antonio's as soon as he gets to my side. We all walk in to see the bar is empty.

"Hey." I say to the girl tending bar. "Where's Chris, Brian and Gabby?" I ask her.

The girl looks at me. "Oh, they're on shift today. My name is Lucy, can I help you?"

I nod and we all take a seat at the bar. "Yeah, one round of shots of Jack and I'll take a Long Island."

"I'll take a lager." Antonio nods at the girl.

Hank speaks next to the young woman. "I'll get a Coors Light Bottle."

The girl mentally notes our drinks. "Coming right up." She grins at us, but keeps her eyes lingering on Antonio which makes me uncomfortable. I wipe it off though. Today is my day and it's going to be the best. I'm officially cancer free.
