"Kagura-san, Okita-san is... indeed very weak, but he will survive. He is relatively healthy, however, so he'll get through this fast. Also, and remind him to take his pills," the doctor informed. His smile was bright.
"Thank you, Doctor," she said, not quite sure what to feel. So the Sadist is okay. Oddly, I'm relieved. She waited, once again, for Sougo to intrude her thoughts with a load yawn or annoying comment. It was late, and Kagura's eyes were centimetres apart from closing completely.
Luckily, the abrupt noise of Sougo's apprehension shook her half-awake, "China- wh- how long were you waiting for me?" He sat down next to her.
She was barely aware of her surroundings and suppressed a yawn, "I waited for you the entire time..."
Blank. She fell asleep on Sougo's shoulders. He chuckled and ruffled her hair, "Let's get you home."
He grabbed her and hoisted her on his back, surprised by her weight. She was lighter than he thought. He clambered home, biting his lip whenever Kagura would hold on to his neck with her dainty hands. He got to their front door and the jingle of the keys caused Kagura to dig her head into his neck. He fumbled to open the damn door immediately. When opened, he shut the door and locked it and carried Kagura to her room gently. He set her down, tucked her in, and shut the lights and door afterwards. He messaged his temples and took off his disheveled clothes. He nonchalantly threw them in the washing machine and put on shorts and a shirt. He paused. So China can be cute like that, huh? He went to his room and slept peacefully.
Kagura grumbled. She swept open her curtain to see the magnificent sunrise. The pink and blue hue mixing to create a painting-like scene. The corners of her lips quirked slightly up, and she rushed out of bed. Then, confusion. Wait, what the hell? Wasn't I in the hospital? Did... Sadist... Carry me home?
She heard a small clink downstairs, and assumed Sougo hadn't left yet. She tip-toed down the stairs and met eyes with the officer just about to leave. She frowned at him
He coughed and curtly said, "I took my medication. I'll be fine."
"Sadist..." Her eyes glimmered with worry and anger, "you can't go. Koga-chan- the doctor demands that you stay home until you've fully healed."
Sougo repressed a growl and glared at her. She stared at him determinedly. He scoffed and ruffled his hair, "China, I have go. If I don't... That's none of your business- I'm a grown-*ss man, I'll be fine."
As he turned to leave, she grabbed his sleeve and tugged, his eyes meeting hers. "Listen here, brat. I had no time for you, but I took you to the hospital and waited for you the entire f*cking time." She clenched her teeth, "So you're going to live whether or not your entire career goes down the toilet."
He suppressed a chuckle and he ached to hug her right then and there. He cleared his throat and retrieved his sleeve from the seething girl. He ruffled her hair, "thanks."
She froze. What the f*ck? He didn't put up a fight? Jeez, what does this sickness do to Sadists?
He collapsed on his bed, and shut his eyes forcefully. He heard a disruptive clatter in the kitchen and tried to ignore it. Sleep, Sougo. That China b*tch is getting on your nerves, sure, but don't put up a fight. She'll kill you.
He grunted and flipped his body so that he was on his side, and slept.
Rustle, rustle. Sougo groaned. What the hell...? He saw Kagura. Her porcelain skin illuminated by the brisk moonlight. Her face looked restless and peaceful, very much the opposite of how she usually is. She had opened the curtains for his window to (his assumption) look at the coniferous trees that stretched for as long as an eagle could see. He slowly got up and stretched lazily, letting out a sigh. He flinched when she furrowed her eyebrows.
He crouched down next to her lithe frame and smiled. "China, China, China~ when will you realize my feelings for you?~" the monotone little song was enough to make Kagura giggle, and Sougo mentally patted himself on the back.
He realized that she was on the floor and carried her onto the bed gently. The bed creaked when he crawled off of it and he let out a sigh. She's a pretty heavy sleeper... Impervious to sounds, huh? We'll see about that.
He began to recite a song that his sister sang to him (of course in his monotone voice and deadpanned facade) however, he altered them slightly. "China walked down the mountain and nearly broke her skull, Sougo the hero, the best of them all, had to save her *ss~" he slumped down onto his bed, making a disruptive fwoomp noise. He ignored it and crawled up into his bed, beside the yato.
Kagura blinked. What time is it? She noticed she was clinging onto something. It was breathing. She jolted. Is it...? She violently ripped off the sheets and stared at the thing on the bed. She suppressed a yelp. It was Okita Sougo, now fully awake and looking at her confused. "China, you're finally awake. It's Saturday, you told me to not go to work yesterday."
She shook her head, "I did? Wha- why did I do that again?"
He scooted towards her and leaned on her shoulder, "'Cause you love me."
"I'm gonna drop you, b*tch," she said sarcastically.
He smirked, "is that a hint of sarcasm? How adorable."
She grabbed his head, "shut the f*ck up."
He kissed her, "Don't wanna~" she screamed and rushed to the other side of his bedroom.
She pointed at him, "WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!"
He went over to her and hushed her, "It's the side effects of the medication, I think. I mean, who would want to kiss you?"
She let out a sigh of relief and grinned at him. It looked fake, though. I'm kind upset...
He rubbed his head, I almost didn't get away with that one...
