Carter's POV

Four months later.

"hi Carter" the nurse said to me as i walked in.

"Hey nurse Annie" I smile back.

"We have some good news today, head on up to her room.

"Mr Donin, glad to see you" Doctor Avery smiles.

"How is she today" I ask.

"Better than ever, there was slight brain activity today. That's an excellent sign of recovery" I was ecstatic to say the least.

"That's wonderful" I smile.

"I'll leave you two alone"

"Hey Nora, I got a 90% on my math test. That's impressive for me" I could imagine her little chuckle. "I hear you're doing way better today, I hope you wake up soon. I've been waiting to kiss you for God knows how long. I guess I could kiss you now but it wouldn't be the same"

"I miss you like crazy" I really did.

"I love our little chats, at least I know you can hear me. That's bettee than nothing right"

"Hey Carter" Aubrey says.

"Hey" I say without taking my eyes off Nora.

"How is she today" Aubrey asks.

"Excellent, Dr. Avery says there's a little brain activity which is a sign of Major recovery" her face lights up.

"That's awesome, have you eaten yet?" She asks.

"Yeah" I lie.

"Carter, you gotta start eating properly, I don't know how you're eveb surviving with that amount of food" she starts to lecture me.

"I can't eat, I can't sleep. Come on you know what I've been going through" I sigh.

"Fine I'll be back, with food. That you are going to eat even if i have to shove it down your throat, Sorry Nora I just want your lover to eat"

River's POV

"Congrats, you are being discharged today" the doctor claps.

"Yeah I'm totally excited" I say sarcastically.

"Don't look so down, you can still visit the hospital, for Nora that is, you are free to go"

"I need to rest" I walked home, my bike was toast and I couldn't get in another vehicle without thinking of the terrible thing I did to Nora. As soon as i got home I fell asleep.

"You're under arrest for the death of Nora Burrey" the cop tells me.

"She isn't dead" I shout

"She can't be" I try to break lose.

"Sir we'll have to taze you if you keep struggling" another cop says.

"This is all your fault River" Miles yells.

"We hate you River, you killed Nora" Carter screams.
