"She doesn't remember me" my voice cracks.

"It happens sometimes, it's very common actually" doctor Avery says.

"How come she could remember me and then just not know who I was? That doesn't make any sense"

"Nora" Aubrey yells.

"Aubrey" Nora whispers.

"I'm right here bestie" Aubrey says.

"Aubr-" I was cut off.

"I have so much to tell you, I went on a date with Miles last night and-"

"Who's Miles, and who's that" she points towards me.

"Aubrey, she only has limited memory and she won't regain her full memory for a little while" doctor Avery says quickly.

"What happened to me" Nora asks.

Nora's POV.

"What happened to me?"

"Where am I?"

"Why do I not remember anything?"

"Holy shit I was in an accident, wait what happened there it's a blurry memory. Does anyone know?"

"I do remember" question after question.

"How's River is he okay" I ask.

"He's fine" Carter growls.

"Carter"

"Carter what's wrong"

"Nothing" he storms out of the room.

"What's wrong with him, why isn't he happy to see that I'm okay" I start to tear up.

"Nora, it's about River, he wants to see you, hell he's been by your side every day since the accident" Aubrey gives me a knowing smile.

"I'll go after him" Miles winks at Aubrey. Before running after Carter.

"You went on a date with Miles?" I smirk.

"Yup and it was amazing"

Carter's POV

"what the hell was that Carter?" Miles shouts at me.

"She obviously cares about River more than me" I brush my hand through my hair.

"She just woke up from a coma, she hasn't really been here the past few months. She doesn't remember the accident that well and I know you heard her say it." He shouts again.

"She didn't remember me and then she did, how long till she forgets again" I frown.

"She won't now get your ass back in that room and talk to the damn girl" Miles grabs my arm.

"Back off" I storm towards my car. I drive until I find the grave yard.

"Lucy, I'm sorry for being an ass" I say to the grave in front of me.

"It's happening all over again. She woke up, she actually woke up. I'm not even there, she woke up and I'm here. Not that there's anything wrong with being here or you. I should just be there with the girl I love"

"Lucy I'm in love with a girl, I love Nora. I've gone to school with her forever and not once had I talked to her but six or seven months ago this crazy girl talked to me. Well she asked me for a hook up but still I fell in love with a girl I barely know. God I wish you could respond, you were great at giving advice, I really miss having an older sister to guide me in the right direction."

"Nora" I knock on her door.

"Carter" she says.

"Yeah, I'm here. I won't leave you ever again" I walk to the side of the bed.

"Where did you go?"

"To my sisters grave" I respond.

"Your younger sister passed away Car-" I cut her off.

"No no my older sister, she died a few years back"

"Oh, Carter I'm sorry" She yawns.

"Don't you worry, here now rest" I tell her.

She pats the spot beside her "come sleep next to me, I want to feel your arms wrapped around me" Nora yawns.

"Carter stop looking at me like I'm glass and get in this damn bed now" Nora yells and I don't think twice. I hold her in my arms and I let darkness consume me.

"Carter, get up" Nora nudges me.

"Oof"

"Did you just push me off the bed?" I ask.

"Yeah" she says innocently.

"You are getting your strength back" I smile.

"I guess I am, Carter I didn't want to ask you this but what's going on between you and River"

"Nothing that should bother you" I shrug it off.

"Then why hasn't he come to see me, I know he isn't dead, Miles told me" Nora was just full of questions.

"He should be dead" I whipser, the room was silent so she definitely heard me.

"Carter don't say things like that" Nora frowns.

"He hurt you, he should have had the worst injuries cause you had the helmet on, not him. He should have been in the condition you were in. He deserves it" I spit.

"Cart-" Nora tries to stop my rant.

"What, I'm being honest with you he should have been in wor-"

"Glad to know that you still hate me" I turn around to see River standing in the doorway.

"Nora, I'm so so so sorry, Carter isn't wrong. I really should be the one in your position"

"River I don't blame you for anything" Nora smiles at him and I snort.

"Carter could you step out for a minute" Nora asks.

"I'm not leaving you with the guy that almost killed the girl I lo- the guy that nearly killed you" I stop myself.

"Carter he didn't hurt me intentionally and he won't try to hurt me on purpose" Nora stands up for River.

"Fine" I clench my jaw and slam the the door on my way out.

Nora's POV

"River, you need to shut up it wasn't your fault"

"Yes it was, I was trying to impress you with how fast I could go. Before I could slow down we were thrown from the bike" he tells me.

"Please leave" I ask him.

"Just go"
