In which a short guy speaks to his bullies...
"Short Man Syndrome!" They said
"Yeah, I have that!" I replied
"You'll never find a girl, midget." They said
I laughed along and sighed
I know, it's not the biggest deal
And I don't use it as an excuse
I learnt to accept myself
The way society told me to
But do you ever realize
How cold one could be
That's literally my whole life
They can't make fun of it
I've handled bullies before
They're just another one
Fighting is not my first choice
So I stay calm on some
Trust me, you don't know
What kind of things I've dealt with
Going through that phase when
Measuring becomes a daily habit
You don't know how much it hurts
When you get rejected because of it
The girl you've had a crush on for years
Treats you like you're shit
When they repeat those annoying facts
Like your colleagues will earn higher than you
And they try hard to make you feel guilty
But you can't punch them, because it's rude
Let me tell you one thing though
Those people are not worth your time
They don't deserve your energy and mind
Perfect you are, and brighter you'll shine
If you ever find yourself asking
'Is size everything that matters?'
The answer is 'No'
The person inside you matters!
Hey! Okay, I think that some of you might find this one funny. But I found that there are far less works here that aim at male victims of bully and insecure men, so I decided to post this. Even if you don't find it relatable or something of much importance, I'm happy with this one just as the other ones. Thank you for reading, and don't forget to vote! :)
