*Almost Broken* LRH

*October 17th*

hiya guys! I'm probably gonna update twice today as I might not be able to tomorrow. big things are happening in this chapter!!! hope you enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Luke POV*

*9.30am*

Mr Joseph stands at the front of the class moaning on about political rights, damn I hate politics. I'm waiting, picking at my thumbs, for Darcy to burst through the door but still nothing. I'm staring at the door until Mr joseph decides to completely and utterly embarrass me.

"Mr Hemming's have I got your attention?" he asks one of his eyebrows arched.

"um yes sir" I mumble.

Everyone laughs except one girl, she lightly smiles at me instead. I manage a small smile back, even though I'm still worried about Darcy.

I sit through another half an hour of politics until the bell goes  just as well, Mr Joseph was just about to hand out test papers, saved by the bell.

*Darcy POV*

I had just finished getting ready as I rushed down the stairs it had been nearly a week and my mum still had not returned. I had to admit I was getting pretty worried.

I heard the doorbell ring, I quickly ran over to the door to open it, standing on the other side were two police officers.

"hello officers, C-can I help you?" I stammered.

"May we come in?" The blonde officer asks.

"U-um y-yeah sure-e"

"sorry to bother you at such an early hour but we wanted to speak to you before school, so we read your missing persons report about your mother Mary Anne Dun, and I'm afraid we have some bad news." the blonde officer replies with a frown.

"we found your mother"

"wait how is that bad news?" I mutter confused

"you didn't let us finish, we found her but she's dead."

"No you're lying, this cant be true!" I shout my voice cracking, tears quickly fill my eyes before spilling out and rolling down my cheeks.

I stand up, soon to fall back down again but on my knees this time.

"were so sorry "they say in unison.

"Um please can you both leave?" I sniffle

"yeah of course but if you need anything do not hesitate to come down to the station mam."

"uh yeah thanks-s" I whimpered

I hear their foot steps right until they reach the door then I hear a light slam. I burst out in a abundance of tears and loud sobs, although I hated my mum I still couldn't bear the thought that she was gone, then I clocked I now have no one. No mum, no dad, no brother, no sister, no family.

I must of been laying in a ball on the floor for about 2 hours now. I checked my phone and the time read: 9.30am.

I decided to prepare myself for school, I suppose I'd do anything to take my mind of the fact my mum was dead.

I left the house within 5 minutes, and it took me 45 minutes to walk to school, usually it would take me 25 minutes but I really wasn't in for mood for quick walking. I walked into the school gates at 10.15am, I passed the reception and signed myself in, I was going to get a late mark but really, right now, I couldn't care less.

*Luke POV*

I past the reception to get to my next lesson, greatttttt, art with Mr Styles, I usually had this with Darcy but seeing as she wasn't in I was on my own. I quickly turn my head round to the reception door to see Darcy come bounding in. I catch a quick glimpse of Darcy's big brown eyes, but instead of her usual spark of life I only see a burnt out glimpse of overwhelming sadness.

"Darcy?" I croaked.

"Luke?" she responds

she comes running over bounding into my arms her head perfectly fitting in to the crook of my neck. I hear muffed sobs coming from her delicate soft lips.

"hey hey hey what's up baby" I whisper softly kissing her ear lobe as I mumble.

"its my mum" she cries

"whets she done this time" I ask growing angry

"nothing Luke, she's done nothing, she's dead."

"what, I'm so sorry baby" I cooed, comforting her by drawing patterns on her back.

I grab her hand, pulling her gently through the crowed corridor before pulling her into an empty class room.

I then grab both her hands pulling her close before looking into her big brown eyes. I cup her tear stained cheeks before whispering "I think you're absolutely beautiful, I'm here for you always, I know it hasn't been long but I think I'm already falling for you." I then pulled her head gently closer to mine before leaning in and kissing her trembling lips, at first she tensed up then she relaxed before kissing me back with passion and lust. I pull away for two seconds to say "I think I love you"

"I think I love you too" she whispers back before smashing her lips back into mine.

ahhhhhaaaaa so yeah that happened sorry guys she will meet Gracie and Abbie next chapter btw the girl smiling at Luke was Gracie soooooo yeah but you'll find out more about them next chapter but for now enjoy this!!!!!!!!!!!! ill update tonight I promise
