I wake up on the floor, next to Paul. We are covered in notes, and his bass is next him. It's about 10 in the morning. Wow, last night was fun! I wake Paul up, and smiles at me. "Have a good night on floor?" I ask playfully. "Yeah haha." He chuckles. "I don't really want to do anything today," I say. "Me neither, but tomorrow I have a gig at the cavern. So today would be my only full day off to spend with my beautiful lady." He puts his arm around me. We get up, and sit on my bed. Out of nowhere, Paul says "do you want children?" I've never really given it much thought. "Yes," "boy or girl?" "Boy" he stares at me. "What do you want his name to be?" I think for a while. "Dawson" "Dawson. I like that name." He leans over and kisses me. So sweetly. He lays me down, him on top of me. He brushes my hair with his fingers. "God, you are the most beautiful woman I've ever set eyes on." He whispers. He kisses me again. And again. I start to unbuckle his belt...
If you're wondering, yes we did it. Again. Right now, I'm lying next to him. His head is resting on my stomach, and I'm weaving my hand through his soft head. "I love you" I say to him. "I love you more" he whispers. "Are you sure about that?" I laugh. "Never been more sure in my life." He smiles, and closes his eyes.
About half an hour later, we both get up. "Let's to for a walk, in the park." I suggest. "Sure love." He get dressed, and head downstairs. I see my dad. "Did he spend the night?" He says. "Yeah, we were writing music, and we kind of fell asleep." "And you just woke up at three?" He asks suspiciously. Like I'm gonna tell him I just screwed him in my room. Psh. "Then we got up and started writing more." I lied. I rarely lie to him, but the occasion suited. We say goodbye to my dad, and walk out the door. He walk a bit down the street. I haven't on a walk down this way for a while. We take a nice long stroll in the park, holding hands talking about our upcoming wedding. Which is coming up in two weeks, already. He sounds pretty excited, and I am too.
After a while, we go back to Paul's place and head to his room. It's about 8:30 at night, when suddenly I have the urge to puke. I run to his bathroom across the hall, and throw up. A lot. Paul comes in and runs my back, saying "Are you ok?!" "I don't know, Paul. I'm puking and I feel like shit." I laugh, but soon the throwing up gets worse and worse. I haven't even eaten much today, and it's so sudden. This goes on for about an hour. "Ok, Juliette, I think you need to go to the hospital. Now." He picks me up and runs downstairs to go to his car. He puts me in the front seat and starts driving. "I really have to puke Paul hurry the fuck up." I say. I sound angry, but I'm really just in serious freaking pain.
He drives faster until we get to the emergency room. Got we've spent a lot of our relationship in the hospital! He carries me in, and I immediately throw up in a near by trash can. A nurse sets me down in a wheel chair, and rolls me down the hall. Paul is holding my hand the whole time. They bring us to a small room. "Have you eaten at a restaurant today?" Asks the nurse. "No" "have you eaten anything toxic?" "no" "have you been drinking?" "Have you had unprotected sex?" My heart stops. "Yes." Me and Paul say at the same time. She gives me a tab to pee on, and I go to the bathroom and do. I give her the tab, and walks away for about five minutes. She comes back in. "Congratulations Ms.Palmer, you are pregnant." I look at Paul. He looks at me. We stare at each other for minutes. And minutes, but no words come out. Paul goes down to his knees, lifts up my shirt, and touches my stomach. He puts his mouth close to it. "Hello, beautiful baby. This is daddy. When you come into this world, me and mommy will take care of you, nurture you, love you. You will have my handsome looks and mummy's beautiful personality. You will grow up to be an amazing human being and I can't wait to meet you." He kisses my tummy. Tears start to flood my eyes. Paul comes up and cries too.
