I drove for a couple of miles, fuming but trying to calm down. I kept driving, I passed restaurants and my stomach rumbled, wishing for food. I pulled over at an Eat 'n Park and checked the car for money since I didn't bring my wallet. As I was getting out of the car, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

Hey, want to hang out?

It was from Theo, I bit my lip, not sure if I wanted to see him yet. The image of him and Delaney popped into my head and I tried to shake it away.

Sure, what do you want to do?

I sent the text before I could stop myself, it took him a while to respond, but he finally texted back saying;

What about the park?

Park? It's a little late don't you think?

I looked at my clock, it was seven-thirty, and the sun was just about to go down.

Exactly

My brow furrowed, what did 'exactly' mean.

Lol okay, what time?

Now okay?

Uh sure, I'm on my way.

I pulled out of Eat 'n' Park and instead went through the driveway at McDonald's, I had already mastered eating while driving so it wasn't a problem. I arrived at the park just as I finished my chicken sandwich, and popped a mint in my mouth. I saw Theo's car pull into the little parking lot next to mine. I got out and greeted him with a smile and a hug. My phone vibrated in my pocket, Zach was calling me, I bit my lip wondering if I should answer.

"You going to get that?" Theo asked, I shook my head;

"It's just my brother."

"I didn't know you had a brother, older or younger?" Theo asked.

"We're twins," I replied.

"Twins? How come I've never seen him around?" Theo seemed bewildered, I laughed at his confusion.

"He's super smart, in all the gifted classes." I said, we walked over to a bench and sat down.

"Well, I hope I get to meet him, and the rest of your family one day." Theo smiled at me, but my breath caught in my throat, little does he know, Zach really is my only family. Who knows what he did with mom, but I only really care about him. I took a deep breath and nodded solemnly, Theo didn't seem to notice. The sun was almost completely set, with only a hint of orange in the darkening sky. The wind blew around us softly and Theo put his arm around me, pulling me close, I rested my head on his shoulder and let all my thoughts melt away. For once, I felt at ease, I felt safe, and at-home. Little did I know this feeling wouldn't last long.
