My Rival

[_Lucy's POV_]

I roll out of bed and groan when I find myself on the floor. Yet another morning has arrived where I have to go to school. But another reason was that I have to see that Baka Natsu Dragneel. I groan all the way through my morning routine and finally when I open the door to my car. All of this to blame on Natsu Dragneel, my now and 'forever' rival.

Pulling into FTA(Fairy Tail Academy) parking lot I fling the keys into the passenger seat which will forever be empty because no more family is around to sit in it. Poor seat. Poor me...

After 5 minutes of mentally preparing myself for what awaits I fling open the car door open and step out onto the black cement. The school building never ceases to amaze me. The giant white pillars tower over the entrance. School banners drape over the walls showing our school pride.

I notice a certain pink haired boy staring at me from a second floor window. I glare daggers at him until he sticks his tongue out at me. That Baka.

I stomp all the way to my first period class where Natsu awaits ready to start a fight. I push past, completely ignoring him, and find my way to my seat in the back of the class next to Levy McGarden, my best friend.

"Woah there cowboy. What's up with you? No shove? No Insults? This is very unusual..." Natsu said following my footsteps and pulling up a chair in front of me.

"Nothing is 'up with me'. I just took a look at your face and decided that there were too many insults and I couldn't pick one." I say innocently smirking after seeing his expression.

"Ouch, Lucy, that hurts. But that's coming from a such a smart ass that she doesn't even notice her own Baka face."

"YOU BAKA!" I suddenly stand up and shout.

"SMART ASS!"

Walking into the classroom Gray smirks, "Woah guys what's with the lovers quarrel?"

"LOVERS QUARREL!?" Natsu and I yelled.

"Like a snowball's chance in hell that I would go out with him." I say shoving my thumb towards Natsu and jerking my head away.

"Ya! Why the hell would I date a she-devil like her." Natsu now shoving his thumb in my direction.

"Oh cut it out you two! It's obvious that you're made for each other!" Levy said dreamily.

"I can't believe you people!" I say slamming my butt down into my seat angrily.

<~After School~>

[_Natsu's POV_]

I sigh deeply watching Lucy cross the parking lot to her car. I'm currently on the roof of the school where I normally go before I go back to my cramped apartment.

"Oh Lucy....," I sigh "I know you need me deep down... But I think it's me who needs you the most..."

Lucy...

If only you knew...

[_Lucy's POV_]

Ding ding

I'm sitting at home trying to get through the mounds of homework that Mr. Gildarts gave us. Considering that, I ignore my phone trying to focus.

Ding ding

Ok. Now it was just getting annoying. I grab my phone angrily looking at who possibly could have texted me this late. My face relaxes when I see that it's just Sting, my boyfriend.

Sting: Hey! How's your day going?

Lucy: Hey... I wish my day was better. I'm stuck at home doing homework. Wish I could see you!

Sting: Wish I could see you too but I'm at soccer practice so I should get off my phone before coach yells at me. Love you... Talk to you later!

Lucy: Love you too! Bye! Oxoxoxo

I set my phone down on the hardwood surface of the table and rest my chin in the palm of my hand.

Sigh

I didn't have to do much to realize how in love I was with Sting. He was so kind and funny. Nothing like that Baka Natsu. Sting was perfect.
