[_Lucy's POV_]

The next day I went to school and no one was there to greet me. I'm not surprised. I guess it's time to go back to my old lonely self...

My face was still red and puffy from my crying but Natsu didn't look any better. Yukino broke up with him too right?

He had bags under his eyes like he stayed up all night. He looked miserable. But who am I to talk.

I take my seat in the back of the class and shove my face into my arms on the table.

"Lu-chan... Are you okay?" Levy whispered patting my back. "I heard what happened yesterday..."

"I'm just peachy." I mumble into my arms.

"Okay well I think that we should have a girls weekend this week! You know, to cheer you up!" Levy squealed excitedly, obviously using my pain to an advantage.

"Ya sure, whatever." I mumble.

"Well you sure aren't going to feel any better if you have an attitude like that!" She said frustrated.

Well it was easy for her to say. She had a nice, steady relationship with Gajeel, the best player on the football team.

"Ya common lift your head up a little! Sting wasn't that great of a guy was he?" Gray said walking up and setting his bag on the table.

"Ugggg, thanks for reminding me I forgot about that part." I buried my head even deeper into my arms.

"Oh gosh please we're in the same boat right now and you don't see me hiding." Natsu sighed looking out the window.

"Shut up. I can't deal with you right now."

Natsu didn't respond. I glanced up at him and he was still blankly staring out the window. Was I worried? Probably not...

<-After School->

I decide not to drive my car anywhere anymore. To many painful memories. Like the first time Sting and I kissed, the countless times he greeted me there in the morning, and where we first met...

I walked to my work a couple blocks away from my apartment. It was a bowling alley but honestly I would get any job as long as I got money. I have to keep rent somehow.

I walked through the doors and was blinded by the bright, flashing neon lights. After all the time I've worked here I will never get used to it.

"Yo Lucy! You're on shoe duty today!" Jason, my manager, shouted peaking his head out from behind the counter.

"Sounds good Jason!" I shouted back as he pulled himself back behind the counter.

I hang up my purse on one of the multiple racks and find my way behind the counter. I stand at the shoe counter with my chin resting on the palm of my hand. Today was Thursday so I didn't expect to have many customers. I was right.

The bowling alley was completely empty besides Bill who bowls on lane eight almost every day of the week. I rest my eyes, being extremely tired, and start to slowly doze off.

I was woken up by someone slamming on the shoe counter. I shot my eyes open and drowley said, "Hello welcome to Jason's how may I help you?"

Once my vision cleared I see a pink haired boy standing before me.

"You know, you really shouldn't be sleeping on the job."

Realizing it was just Natsu I continue to rest my chin on my hand.

"Well can you blame me? And why do you care anyway?" I shoot back.

"Good point."

"Well what are you even doing here?" I ask.

"I'm here to talk to you."
