Montana's pov
I started freaking out. I didn't know what to do so I hid inside the little closet in the bathroom that held the toilet paper and towels. Chris opened the door and I peaked through the little crack on the closet door. I heard Brent talking.
"Where's Montana?" He asked.
"Umm, I think she went into Bailey's room to grab something. I'm sure she'll be down soon."
"Okay well, we were all wondering where you guys went to. Are you coming?" Brent said.
"Yeah! I've just got to wash my hands real quick." He lied. Brent bought it and nodded, leaving him be.
After Brent was gone, Chris shut the door and locked it again. I carefully stepped out of the closet and folded my arms. "So?" Chris asked.
"So, let's pretend that that never happened." I said and started to push past him. He furrowed his eyebrows and blocked me from leaving.
"Wait a second. You just kissed me and basically told me that you still have feelings for me and now you want me to pretend that that didn't happen? How do you expect me to do that?"
I closed my eyes and sighed. I had already done the wrong thing by kissing him. It felt right in the moment but now I feel guilty. I just cheated on Jacob. He's a perfectly good guy and he doesn't deserve this in any way.
"Listen, I'm with Jacob. If he finds out that this happened, he would never talk to me again."
"Is that such a bad thing?" Chris pushed.
"Yes! He doesn't deserve to be cheated on. No one does." I moved his hand from blocking me and opened the door.
"So does this mean that you regret kissing me?"
"..no," I answered truthfully, causing a smile to appear on his face. God, I've missed him.
I walked back downstairs after telling him to wait a couple of minutes after I came down. Jacob furrowed his eyebrows and scooted over for me to sit next to him.
"You alright?" He asked, noticing my flushed appearance. I nodded my head and he wrapped his arm around my shoulder. Suddenly it felt really heavy and I just wanted to leave. I didn't want him to touch me.
"I think we're gonna go." I started.
Bailey whined a little bit but gave in. "Oh, alright. See you tomorrow though, right?" I told her yes and Jacob and I got up and headed upstairs. Chris still hadn't came down and I was wondering where he went.
As we were walking out the door Chris walked up behind us. "Goodbye, night guys."
"Goodnight," Jacob called and kept walking. I looked at Chris and he winked at me. A red blush sure covered my face. I could feel it.
This is not good. I'm such a terrible person. Why do I do this to myself? I'm just digging a deeper whole for myself.
That night, well morning; it was about 3am before we got into my house. We got into my room and I threw a pillow and a blanket from my bed on the carpet.
"What? I don't get to sleep with you?" Jacob smirked. I shook my head but smiled.
"Mom's rules."
I started to lay down on the pallet I had made on the ground but Jacob had stopped me.
"I'll sleep here. You get in your bed, babe." He told me. My stomach turned at the normal term of endearment he had called me. Why though? I knew why.
Chris.
I layed in my bed that night and dreamed about the only guy that was on my mind. And you could probably guess that it wasn't Jacob.
Heyo! Got this done on my way home from vacayy! I hope you guys liked it.
