Around in a Circle

Chapter 3

"Oh my god! I can't believe we're here in Los Angeles California!" Chloe says as she links arms with me as we walk out of the airport.

"Me niether! I've been waiting soooooo long to come here!"

"My goal is to one, get a nice tan and two pick up a few guys." She giggles and I laugh. Chloe is a really pretty girl, she has brunette hair, and really pretty brown eyes, and today she's wearing a black singlet top with some denim shorts. And then I look at what I'm wearing. I'm wearing a white crop top with some high waist denim shorts. I'm always jealous of how Chloe can pull off simple clothes really well.

"You do that Chlo." I giggle with her as I glance back to see Maddox and Austin walking behind us. "Do you remember where our hotel was?"

"Yeah. I'm pretty sure we need to take a bus there..." she looks around for a clock. "Which leaves in..... Now?!"

"What?!" I look at her, as she double checks on her phone. "You're joking right?"

"No, I'm serious. We have no time for this. We need to go right now." Chloe says as she starts running. "We have to go, now!" she says to the boys.

"You serious?" I groan, as I start running after Chloe. The boys soon start to follow suit.

"It's a pity you girls aren't wearing skirts." Maddox mutters as he runs with me.

"Of course you would say that." I say.

"I'm just speaking the truth."

"Don't you always?" I roll my eyes.

"That is a compliment right?"

"You tell me." I smile. He rolls his eyes.

"Anyway, what time does our bus leave?"

"Apparently now." I say as we near the buses. I look around for Chloe or Austin.

"Where are the others?"

"Uh..... I have no idea." Then my phone rings. "Hello?"

"Leah! Where are you?" I hear Chloe's voice through the phone.

"Outside the airport at the bus stations, where are you?"

"On the bus! I tried to get the bus driver to wait for you but he wouldn't listen! Okay, I'll text you the address of the hotel. Are you with Maddox?"

"Yeah. Are you with Austin?"

"Y-yeah." She pauses. "You and Maddox find a way to the hotel, we'll meet you guys there. Oh and I didn't know if the overseas calling thing would actually work or not but apparently it does." She laughs.

"Well my mum did say that it would work." I laugh a little as Maddox stares at me.

"Well we now know she's right. Anyway, I'll text you the address to the hotel, apparently it's a twenty minute drive, according to the bus driver."

"Okay. Thanks Chlo. I'll see you soon. You have a good time with Austin." I laugh.

"I will. You have a good time with Maddox."

"I'll try." I say and hang up. "We'll have to take a taxi there or something." I say to Maddox just as my phone signals a text, I glance at the text stating the address to our hotel.

"The bus left?"

"No, I just want to spend some alone time with you." I say sarcastically.

"Great." Maddox mumbles. Then he looks up, smiling.
