Okay. Surprisingly, I'm really taking this decision on whether to ditch Austin or Maddox very seriously. The easy option would be to ditch Maddox because obviously I don't like him but for some reason I don't know who I should tell that I can't go with.

You : I'm really sorry Austin but I can't come today, something's come up. I'd be happy to help u tomorrow?

My finger lingers on top of the send button, but I just press it. Austin said that the date was going to be in a few days right? So we can plan it some other time.

Wait, but that's the same with Maddox. We can go mini golfing some other day.

Ugh. What is wrong with me?

I just press the send button, sending the message to Austin and go up to my room to get ready for mini golf.

In the end, I decide on a white crop top and shorts and then chuck on a Nike jersey.

"You ready?" Maddox asks me and I look up at what he's wearing. He's wearing a casual white top with some jeans. Even though it feels as though he just literally threw some clothes on, he still looks really hot.

No. I can't find him hot.

Austin : that's cool, we can plan it tomorrow

"I guess." I say after quickly glancing at my phone. I feel a tinge of guilt but I brush it aside.

"So, I was thinking, we could either take a bus there..... Or take a bus there." He says and I laugh.

"Taking a bus there it is."

"Sounds good." He grins his cute grin.

When we get to mini golf, we pay and we get ready to start.

"Prepare to be surprised." Maddox says cockily.

"I better be surprised." I say, crossing my arms.

"The same competitive attitude as always I see."

"And it's not going to change my friend." I say and I swear I see him flinch but maybe that was just my imagination. Soon he takes a swing and it hits one of the sides of the course.

"It's kinda impossible to get a hole in one on this hole anyway." Maddox says quickly. I nod.

"Yes, yes, of course."

"You have a go at it then if you think you're so smart." He says as he crosses his arms and sticks his mouth out. I walk over to him and put my hand out towards him but he pulls back.

"I won't bite." I say as I playfully push his mouth in with my finger. He stays frozen. And I give him a questioning look.

"I'm glad to hear that." He says as he takes a step back from me. "Your turn."

"Okay." I say and I swing back but I miss the ball. "That so didn't happen. Oh Maddox, always imagining things."

"Okay okay it didn't happen. I'll let it slide this time." Maddox chuckles. I take a deep breath and concentrate and swing. I do hit it but this time, it goes is in a completely different way to where it's supposed to be headed. "Man, you really needed some practise."

"I used to be so good at this!"

"Keep telling yourself that, Lee."

"I was! You can't just pretend you don't remember."

"Oh, you're hinting for me to help you again is that right?"

"O-of course not."

"Don't stress, I insist on helping." He chuckles and I remain silent. I feel his hands on top of mine, as he swings the club back and hits the ball. Even after the ball has gone in the hole he doesn't let go of my hands. We both just remain silent and frozen.
