I was surprised when Anderson walked with me on the way to the studio.
"Are you excited?" he asked.
"Y-yes," I said, as he opened the door to the studio.
"H-hey...isn't this awkward? Every person here looks at us!" I whispered to him.
"O-oh, sorry," he shook his face down.
Embarrassed by what happened just seconds ago, he sat on his chair with that blue globe background playing into effect. It looks like he's going on air in a few moments.
I checked the time. 7:32 pm Eastern time.
"H-hey, Anderson? Would you like to have a bit of an early dinner?" I asked. "I'll just go outside buy some."
He said nothing. As I left, he was browsing on the phone while my colleagues inform him of what news will be in the spotlight for the day.
What a douchebag, I thought. But he's into it, really. Probably why the show and he lasted 13 years. I guess I should go buy dinner.
The excitement and my relatively new experiences get into me. It's like I'm dreaming. As I look at the large windows of Time Warner Center and the stunning view of Central Park, it's like I'm in a dream. I was just a fan, now I'm here. I don't know why, but it still feels surreal.
I went inside, and saw Anderson do the coverage firsthand. He does it greatly, huh? I thought. I silently watched as he asked questions and analyzed what has happened recently in the United States and around the world.
It was 10:07 pm and the show had just finished airing. We were eating dinner back at his office, and he was talking about literally anything just to never get the conversation boring.
"Would you like to come with me home?" he asked.
"Wha?! Hey...you sure with that?" I insisted.
"Of course I am sure!" he happily answered.
"Well...if that's what you want...okay...I'll go..." I reluctantly agreed.
Author's Note: I dedicate this chapter to Sensibly_Sensible for motivating me to continue this story! I hope you have also read my two other fanfics aka the Lightyears series. Thanks a lot!
