~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~"V, I don't like this one!" She throws at least five more dresses at me. "You have to look trendy at the Manifique Ball so you can blend in with those fashion pricks." I roll my eyes at her snarky comment, "but I'm not them."
"Can't I wear jeans and converse?" I whine. "So, I brought all these dresses for nothing!" I giggled at how easily worked up Veronica gets, when it comes down to clothes. She sighs, "come on, I can't go, so the least you could do is wear a dress."
I looked at her fake frown, and gave in. "Fine." She hands me this nice red silky dress. It was very short, and had a steep collar. The spaghetti straps made it look even more sexy. "Try it on, like today grandma!"
I removed the previous dress and slid it on, nice and easy. The way it captured my body's shape made me awe in disbelief. I looked at it in my body mirror, and it looked as if it was a second skin. I have never thought of myself as pretty, or even beautiful.
Until, today.
"Wow." Veronica's eyes lit up in satisfaction. How could I blame her, I'm shocked as hell as well. I removed the dress and put it on my hanger. Tomorrow is the big day. I put on my pajamas, when I heard a loud bang against the door.
"What the hell!?" I walk out my room, and I turn towards the door. I open it immediately and flashes of lights burn my eyes. "Get in, get in!" Jack shouts. I see Jack and he was pushing me out the door way, causing him to trip over and to fall on top of me
Click. This women shoves a microphone in my face and tried to interview me, with no permission. "Excuse me, evacuate the premisses!" Veronica shouts. She pushed the door, causing everyone to leave, nearly slamming their fingers.
Jack was still on me, and I blushed in embarrassment. "What the hell just happened?" Jack got off of me and helped me off of the floor. "Well I was walking around this area and the paparazzi caught me and chased me." He replied.
"So why did you come here?" Veronica blurted out. "Well this was the closes place to an escape." He said. I couldn't imagine what it's like to be a celebrity. It's like, all of your personal life will never be personal because your business is everyone else's business.
I sighed. He walked towards my couch and plopped on it, and groaned. "So do you know what your gonna wear at the ball?" He asked. V and I exchanged looks and nodded at the exact same time. We giggled afterwards.
"So, are you staying here?" I blatantly asked Jack. "Ah, can I?" He asked hesitantly. "Sure, no prob!" I shouted, not realizing that I sounded a little desperate. I grab him a pillow and a blanket and gave it to him. "Great." He could have said thank you and all, but you know great is good too.
V grabbed her purse and sandals, and headed towards the door. "Where are you going?" I looked at her. "Gotta work." She walked out leaving me slightly disappointed. At least I'm alone with Jack.
I mean, I don't care about him staying.
Yes you do.
I just want company.
No, you just want Jack.
I blush at the comments that I'm making towards myself. "Why are you all pinkish looking?" I touch my face, and shrugged my shoulders. "I-it doesn't...mat-mater!" I cover my mouth with my hands.
