Chapter 19- Not like that

**a couple days later**

*Ashton's POV*

I watched as Brooke sat down next to Calum and he put his arm around her. Now that their dating, my heart is broken. I have liked Brooke since the first day I met her.

***flashback***

"Ashton, this is my best friend Brooke" Calum tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around and saw the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Even though that sounds clićhe, it's true. She had dark brown hair that fell down next to her hips. It was stick straight and she was very slim. Overall, she was hot.

"I'm Ashton" I smiled.

"I'm Brooke" she smiled.

I shook her hand and she walked away with Calum, leaving a tingling sensation on my hand.

**end of flashback**

I turned away from Brooke and Calum, a pained expression on my face, and walked over to the bunks. We are on our way to Fort Lauderdale, Florida right now, and the bus trip is awful. Calum and Brooke keep flirting and it's giving me a headache. She should be flirting with me, not Calum.

**Brooke's POV**

"Good morning babe" Calum kissed me on the cheek.

"Good morning" I smiled.

Ever since we've been dating, I've been happier.

"Does anyone want anything to eat?" I asked.

There was a chorus of no's so I got up and went into the kitchen. I grabbed a bowl out of the cupboard and poured some Honey Nut Cheerios (A/n i love them so effing much) into the bowl. Luke came over and sat on the counter next to me. I poured some milk into the bowl and started spooning mouthfuls of Cheerios.

"You hungry?" I asked Luke.

"No"

"Ok well then hi!" I said eating some more cereal.

"I have a question" Luke said.

"Ok what is it? You don't have to announce 'I have a question' you just ask me" I said putting air quotes when I said 'I have a question'.

"Brooke this is serious"

"Ugh fine what's your question?"

"Can you make me bacon?"

"LUKE" I screamed hitting him on the arm. I couldn't help but laugh, and Luke did too.

I got the bacon out of the fridge and put it on a pan.

"So how are you and Calum?" Luke asked me smirking.

"We're fine" I said confused of why he asked.

I plugged my iPhone in our iHome that was on the counter, and I pressed shuffle. 'Holiday' came on by Green Day and I started singing to it.

"HEAR THE SOUND OF THE FALLING RAIN

COMING DOWN LIKE AN ARMAGEDDON FLAME (HEY!)

THE SHAME

THE ONES WHO DIED WITHOUT A NAME

HEAR THE DOGS HOWLING OUT OF KEY

TO A HYMN CALLED "FAITH AND MISERY" (HEY!)

AND BLEED, THE COMPANY LOST THE WAR TODAY

"BROOKE SHUT THE HELL UP YOU SOUND AWFUL" Luke screamed covering his ears. 

I turned around and pointed my spatula at Luke.

"Your lucky you have a good voice otherwise it would be hell in here"

I turned back to the iHome and I heard some popping.

"The bacon is burning" Luke said.

"SHIT" I screamed and ran over to the bacon. It was black so, I turned the stove off, putting the bacon on the plate.

"I'm not hungry anymore" Luke said getting down from the counter.

"HEMMINGS" I screamed getting mad. I made the bacon for nothing, and my cereal is now soggy. I dumped my cereal down the drain and washed the dishes. I threw the bacon away and made my way over to Calum. I sat next to him and he put his arm around me. Ashton got up and went into his bunk. I wonder was has been up lately with him. He's been acting weird.

I got up and went over to Ashton's bunk.

"Ash, are you okay?" I asked opening the curtain to his bunk.

"I'm fine" he said turning to the wall so his back was toward me.

"You don't seem fine"

"I'm fine Brooke"

"You sure?"

"IM FUCKING FINE BROOKE. LEAVE ME ALONE"

"If you were fine, you wouldn't be acting like this"

"FINE, I'M NOT OKAY. WATCHING YOU WITH MY BESTFRIEND IS HEARTBREAKING. NOW YOU KNOW, CONGRATULATIONS BROOKE" he screamed at me and went past me, going into the bathroom and slamming the door.

"Ash" I said softly, lightly knocking on the bathroom door.

"Go away Brooke" he sniffled.

Now he's crying. Great.

"Please let me in" I said.

He huffed and opened the door. I went inside and he closed it behind me.

I opened my arms and he came to me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and whispered in his ear.

"It's okay Ash, you'll find someone better"

"But I already found someone best"

"Ashton...."

"Why are you even dating Calum? I know you don't like him, you just felt bad"

I pondered on that one for a second. Why am I dating Calum? Did I really like Calum? Or was he messing with my head? I have no idea at this point. I mean, I love him so much, but are we meant to date...? 

I sighed.

"I don't know. Just let me think" I said standing up and running my fingers through my hair.

"Wait, stay with me" he pulled me back down.

"Why? There's nothing to talk about. I have a boyfriend!" I yelled, jumping to my feet.

"Break up with him!" he jumped to his feet.

"No! We've only dated a couple days"

"But I want you" he mumbled.

"What?" I asked. I didn't quite catch what he said.

"I want you" he said.

I really hope he doesn't mean that the way I'm thinking he does.

"Not like that..." he blushed.

"I just really like you, thats all"

I sighed, for the millionth time today. I really hope I don't regret this.

"I like you too"
