Today was our last day in New Orleans and I was packing waiting to go to the airport. This whole trip was stressful and we didn't get very far. When we get back, we have a session with Jamie. I just finished packing when my mother stumbled out of the bathroom.
"Morning" she said cheerily
"Hey" I said dryly like not looking up at her. She made her way to her bed and grabbed her suitcase before stuffing a bunch of things into it. I sat at the edge of the bed and waited for her. I was so ready to go.
When my mother finally finished packing up, we headed down to the lobby. I had on my Nike tech sweatsuit and my Giuseppe sneakers. I had my shades on to hide my tired face and walked through the lobby.
"Here are the keys, thank you for having us" I said as I approached the front desk. I handed the clerk the keys and flashed her a half smile.
" no problem, thank you for choosing Hotel Monteleone" she said cheesing from ear to ear. I rubbed my belly in a circular motion and grabbed my bag and walked off. All this walking was upsetting Kyrie.

We arrived at the airport and we're now getting ready to board the plane. I walked through the terminal and my mother followed close behind. We kept walking until we got to the plane stairs.
Boarding the plane was a breeze and we were know getting everything situated.

"Finally, I'm home. I missed you Tai" I coped into the phone. He chuckled before responding
"I miss you too baby and I miss my actual baby. I have a surprise for y'all, when can I get you?" He asked through the phone.
"I have a session with Jamie today, so I'll call you when I leave"
"Iight" he said before hanging up. My mother and I were in an Uber heading to Jamie's office.
" I'm really glad we took this trip T" my mother said breaking my concentration away from my phone
"Mom, I'm tired and Kyrie keeps kicking my ribs which is causing me mind numbing pain" I said dryly focusing back on my phone.
"I know but, I think we're on the right track" she whispered
"Yea ok" I said tuning her out
We pulled up to Jamie's office and I slipped the driver a 20 before getting out. I walked to the elevator and stepped on as its doors opened when I pushed the button. I didn't even worry about where my mother was, I was ready to get this meeting over with
" There she is" Jamie said smiling as she embraced me in a hug. I shot her a half smile before sitting in my spot on the couch
"I'm here" my mother said jogging in and panting as if she had run up the stairs
"Well Karla, you can start by telling me how you guys reflected while on your trip" Jamie said jumping right in
" we didn't really, we talked about a few things over dinner one night, but Tiana got mad and stormed off. I talked about what I wanted from her as my daughter and she talked about all the reasons why she hates me" my mother said
"We reflected about our past mistakes and we forgave each other by going out to dinner and doing other things. We forgave each other because we were forced to face the situation" I said interrupting before Jamie could speak
" I wanted you guys to forgive each other for the benefit of y'all, not me" she spoke
"We weren't ready" I said lowering my head rubbing my belly
"Ok well I'm scheduling a session tomorrow to talk about this" she said scribbling in her note pad. My eyes shot up and I shook my head.
"I can't, I have mommy and me all day tomorrow and I'm not missing it" I almost yelled out
