A week has passed since the projects were assigned and I had done all the work while Ace entertained himself by annoying me. Which by the way, was totally annoying.

But today he's been different. Like, really quiet. He would open his mouth to tell me something and then shut it and stare off into space.

When the bell for last period rang, I walked off ignoring him as usual.

Speed walking through the throng of high school students proved to be easier said than done.  You had to stop every now and then because someone kept walking like a snail or dropped their things.

Before I could comprehend what was happening to me, I was pulled into a classroom.

With wide eyes I looked into the eyes of my captor.

"Ace?" I asked surprised and confused. Really really confused.

"Yeah, Hmmmm..." He shrugs and messes his hair with his hands.

A sign of nervousness. My mind reminded me.

Now, I was annoyed.. First he drags me into a random classroom with him and then he has the nerve to not reply to me. How dare he?

"Okay, Okay. Im sorry. Really sorry. Um, I actually need your help. Like really badly. " He rushes out all in one breath.

I cocked an eyebrow at him motioning him to continue.

He runs a hand through his hair again messing his hair up, again.

"Well, So you heard what coach said the other day right?" He asked.

I merely nodded already seeing where this was going.

"So I want your help." He finished.

I smiled at him. I could see the hope in his eyes.

"Naah, I think ill pass." I said and watched his face fall.

I almost laughed out. Almost.

I turned around, heading to the locked door.

"Please, Please Ells. Please." He grabbed my wrist from behind.

I want you to promise me this one thing. Please. Nola. Please.

I sighed and turned to him.

"Fine." I said.

"Fine?" He asked.

"Fine. But I need you to do the project with me." I said.

"Okay." He said.

I looked at him surprised. He wasn't going to even put up a decent fight?

"Okay?" I said uncertainly.

"Okay." He said and walked to the door, slipping out of the room before I could tell him the details for the tuitions.

Huffing at the fact that he got the last word in, I decided to go to the Ice Cream parlor next to school.

"Ells?" I turned around when I heard Aces voice.

"Yeah?" I asked.

He ran a hand through his hair.

"Thank You. " He said and smiled at me. Not the I-know-you-love-me kind of smile.A genuine smile.

And something in that smile made it hard for me to breathe.
