PART 1 OF 2 FOR CHAPTER 27.

Lauren's POV

"Help her! Do something!"

It was like all the yelling around me turned into distant whispers and muffled pleads, being thrown at me one after another but my mind not able to respond or acknowledge a single one. It was the same for all my other senses, the same with my vision, my touch, my own thoughts...

I couldn't register a single thing, but one. One in particular.

The only other thought and voice that would tease me and send me enough paranoia to convince me that I was weak, that I was a coward. He showed me what I brought to others was nothing else but misery and pain, just like he did to me, and just like Camila did to him.

The dark lord will not rest, Dumbledore had told me. 'Don't think for a split second it is safe enough to take a break from being too strong. Prove to him that it's you who's stronger than him...'

"Lauren, please! Help her!"

Like a flame of actuality and realization, a sudden spark flows through my body in one long tingle, sending me into a sudden state of alarm. My eyes snap open from my disoriented thoughts and I remember that there is a body in my hands, bleeding out and losing enough blood to near death.

I needed to help her...I couldn't let her die.

**Twenty Four hours Before**

Hufflepuff's Cup.

It was the fourth Horcrux to be created and related in storage to Tom Riddle's soul, but it was the first one on our list from all five as of now, since two of them were already destroyed.

The plan was simple, but very risky. All night, we planned what was to come this morning and what exactly we were getting ourselves into when we got to Gringotts Bank. Where the vault of Madame Lestrange was, locked with Hufflescup cup inside and her other forbidden treasures.

I was sure the cup was in there, along with who knows what other horcruxes that could speed up our journey on the way. Dumbledore told me once that he knew where the cup was, but was unsure in which vault, since there were too many who remained loyal to Tom Riddle.

I, on the other hand, knew exactly in which vault it lied in and who's it belonged to. Bellatrix Lestrange was his most loyal servant and other half when it came to any sacred tasks or belongings.

"How exactly do you know the Hufflepuff Cup lies in Lestrange's vault? That woman is bonkers." Dinah mumbles, holding her wand upright tightly in one hand, holding Normani's hand with the other.

"I don't," I sigh.

"It's worth taking the risk," Camila adds, her eyes roaming around the alley we walked past, ignoring the stares of those around her. "What matters is whether or not this plan will work."

"It will," I assure her, silently hoping my words were convincing enough. Dinah gives me a side glance and shakes her head, earning a small glare from Normani. I sigh and walk further ahead, not having time for her mistrust in me now that we were close.

"You're walking in there alone?" Ally grabs my arm softly, her slim fingers warm against my skin. I nod my head and turn around so see the small group staring at me, looking confused and somewhat offended.

"If anything goes down, things can get ugly," I sigh. "Someone can die in there. I have to go alone."

Dinah doesn't even take a glance at me when she quickly adds, "I'm going in there, too. I'm going with you, Lo."
