X-Men: Civil War

Chapter 1 : What is Happening ?

I open my eyes to a computer in front of me and the headline on the article that's opened reads Civil War Threatens The Nation. Was!? When did this happen, und where am I? I look around the office building I'm in and see a bunch of humans sitting at desks with computers just like mine.

A secretary passes by my desk and puts a piece of paper in front of me. It reminds me of a blue slip, and I feel like a kid being called to the principals office. I pick it up and it reads:

Maxine Wagner,

You have been selected for a random physical. It is required by Stark industries that you report to room 111 immediately.

Where is room 111, I've never been here before. I turn to the person next to me and tap on their shoulder.

"Um, yes, Maxine?"

"Where is room 111?" I whisper to the man.

"You see those double doors," he points towards the north of the room, "go down the hallway and the first door on your right is 111."

"Thanks." I smile nervously and make my way towards the double doors, how am I going to hide my wings?

I push on the right door and walk into a clean hallway, well cleaner than the office. The first door on the right is labeled 111. Here I go. I twist the handle down and open the door to see a checkup office, except there's a window showing about 19 floors down.

"Hello, Maxine, sit down and take off your shoes and your coat." A woman says and I take off my shoes and sit down, but if I take off my jacket she'll see my wings.

"Is it ok if I leave my Jacket on, it's pretty cold in here." I say and she smiles.

"You have to take off your coat, it's protocol." After this I slide my jacket down my shoulders a little and try to place my wings father behind my back.

"What's behind your back?" She tries to get a better look and I see her face pale.

"I'll be right back, just wait here." She hurries out of the room and I listen to her heels click down the hall. I jump up and use my powers to hack into the computer, erasing all the information they had on me. I go into the hallway and see a window at the end, running towards it, I jump and the glass shatters from the impact.

My wings unfurl and I launch myself into the concrete jungle of New York. The sound of a clean engine starts up behind me and I look back to see a red and gold suit right below me. I push my wings to go further and dive behind buildings, under a bridge and over an abandoned building. Pulling back, I lower myself before Iron Man sees me and duck into a broken window. He flies a little farther until he stops about 50 yards in front of me.

I move farther into the building and when I feel like I'm hidden in the shadows, I run. Into a hallway, down some cement stairs and into the downstairs area. There's a door that probably leads out and I open it just a crack to see an empty alley way. My legs almost move on there own as I sprint down the sidewalk. I have to get back home.
