A Hamsters Perspective

21~PARTY

Oscar slowly stood up and walked over to me and thanked me. Then, everything went crazy. All the hamsters went mad with happiness, practically jumping off the walls with excitement! We had finally beaten the mice of MOUSE ALLY!!! It finally sunk in and I soon found myself also jumping around like a mental hamster! Everyone agreed that we needed a place to party and celebrate, and without thinking I invited them all over to mine! We danced down the bleak grey metal walls back to H-FORCE to drop off our masks and weapons before prancing out again to Lucy's house. One by one we quickly climbed up the familiar tube under Lucy's carpet and started to have a huge party in her bedroom. Soon my treat box had been recklessly tipped onto the floor and everyone was hurriedly setting out a buffet. Then, the door swung open.

We all froze. Lucy peered into my cage, not yet seeing us all, then slowly twisted her head round. Her eyes opened wide in shock and her mouth formed a perfect "o" shape. Then her blue eyes fell on me, standing in the centre of the group. Nobody said anything. Until I decided to break the silence. "Um, Hi Lucy, sorry about the mess." I think she might have had a mini heart attack after I spoke. "Y-you ca-an speak?!?" Then I realised something, humans weren't supposed to understand hamsters! Before I had time to think about it, a older voice (who I'm guessing is her mum) called up the mountain stairs then slowly started to climb up. With lightning reflexes, Lucy swung open her wardrobe door and ushered all the hamsters but me inside, just as her mum came in the room.
"What's going on Lucy?"
"What do you mean?"
"Why is there hamster food all over the floor?"
"Oh, I let Popcorn out and he knocked it over."
"Well, OK then."
And Lucy's mum left the room. Everyone filed out the wardrobe back onto the carpet. We made her promise not to say anything to anyone before revealing the whole story...
