Chapter 53.

I woke up the next morning.
I took a quick shower, after I put on a black blouse and a khaki skirt and black flats. I left my hair straight, put pearl earrings on and put on the infinity necklace Matt gave me. I put on mascara and a little bit of lipstick. I grabbed my MK leather purse and my phone and walked to Ariana's room. I saw Matt putting her shoes on. I smiled.
"Morning" I said.
"Mommy!" Ariana squealed.
I went to her and she hugged me.
I kissed her cheek.
"Where's mine at?" Matt said and I giggled. I kissed his cheek.
"How'd you sleep?" I smiled at Ariana.
"Good" she smiled.
I heard my watch beep.
"I have to go" I said.
"See you later" I told both of them and kissed them both on the cheek.
"Bye beautiful" I heard Matt said and I waved bye to him.
I went to my car and drove off.
I reached a stop light and texted Kaily.
Breakfast? McDonald's biscuit?

When I got to the building I got off and went up the elevator to my office.
"Morning" I said to Kaily.
"Goodmorning" she smiled and handed me the biscuit and a iced coffee from Starbucks.
"Thank you, your the best" I said and went to my office.
I took a sip of my iced coffee and sat down on my big chair.
I turned on my computer and checked any new emails.
I then heard the office phone ringing, and I answered.
"Renne here talking, how may I help you?" I said.
"Reschedule meeting? Before lunch" I heard Kaily say.
"Okay, thank you" I said and hanged up.

I opened my eyes.
"What the heck?" I whispered and adjusted my view.
Did I just sleep?
"Oh crap" I said and carefully rubbed my eyes.
I checked my wrist clock.
11:15.
"Oh shit" I said.
And got up quickly.
I searched for my files.
"Jackpot" I said.
And rushed out of the door.
"Kaily!" I yelled as ran to the elevator.
"Your late!" Kaily yelled and heard her laugh and before the elevator door closed, I flipped her off.
I ran to the meeting room and opened the door.
"Sorry" I said to the people.
They looked at me like I was crazy.
I slowly, awkwardly walked to my seat in front of them.
It was a women and a man.
Is this the divorce case?
Ugh, what's wrong with me.
If it is the divorce case then what's this guy doing here?
"Okay so the situation, according to the files, your wanting to divorce?" I asked the lady and I took a look at the files.
"Yes" she said.
"Then who's this?" I asked.
"Okay so this is my ex, the man I want to divorce" she said.
"And what's he doing here?" I asked.
"So I went to the judge and the judge said that for this case I needed to bring him with me to a lawyer" she said.
"M'am, I'm afraid that that's not how things run here. He has to bring or have a separate lawyer" I said.
"See your always wrong" the man told the women.
"Oh really?" the women said back.
"Always wasting my time" the man said.
"Then why did you marry me?!?" the women said, raising his voice.
"I did it for the children! Not for you!" he yelled back.
"You shouldn't have gotten me pregnant then!" she yelled.
"Your the one who wanted it!" he yelled.
"M'am, um sir, can we calm down?" I asked but completely got ignored and they continued arguing.
"Your so stubborn!" she yelled.
"Your a bitch!" he yelled and my eyes went wide.
I checked my wrist watch.
12:15.
An hour has passed?
But crap, I was late.
I was gonna meet up with Taylor.
Then suddenly they stood up.
The women pushed the man.
My eyes went wide.
"Excuse me, if y'all don't calm down, I'm going to have to call security" I said.
Then the women slapped the man.
My jaw dropped.
And then the man tried to hit her.
"STOP!" I yelled as loud as I could.
Then they looked at me.
I called security.
And then they came.
"Take him" I said.
After the man got taken away the women burst into tears.
I handed her a box of tissues when she was done.
"I'm sorry about that" she said.
"It's fine. I just have to go" I said.
"Oh, that's right. It's lunch time" she said.
"Yeah um, I'll escort you to my assistant, we can reschedule another meeting, just you" I said.
And she nodded.
I gathered all my stuff and walked to my office in a hurry.
When that was done I ran to my car.

Taylor's P.O.V.
I was waiting at McDonald's for Maddeline.
I looked at my clock and it was 12:30. Past lunch time.
Was she just lying about her coming here? Should I just leave or wait more? Yesterday. I always told myself that I was going to see her again. And look, I did see her.
Ugh I'm done.
As soon as I got up I saw someone burst in. It was Maddeline and I quickly sat down so she wouldn't had known that I was about to leave. She finally spotted me.
"Hey" she said, fixing her skirt.
"Hey" I smiled.
"Sorry I'm late" she said.
"Your fine" I said.
"I'm going to order" she said.
And I got up.
"Me too" I said.
She got in line in front of me.
She really has changed.
Her purple ombré hair, her nose piercing, her braces where gone.
But her dimples were still there, her height was about the same. And she had gotten much more beautiful.
"How may I help you?" I heard, which shook me out of my thoughts.
"I'm going to go ahead and sit, I'll wait" Maddeline said and I nodded.

Maddi's P.O.V.
I stared at Taylor as he ordered.
He turned around and I quickly turned another way. He then sat down.
We stayed quiet for awhile, and I started eating. I looked up and Taylor was watching me.
"What?" I said.
He smiled and shook his head.
That smile.
"So how you been?" he asked.
I finished chewing and took a sip of my drink. We were about to play 20 questions.
*Rolls eyes*
"I've been great, what about you?" I asked.
"I've been better" he said.
What's that suppose to mean?
"So, tell me. What did you do after I left?" he asked.
I thought about it.
"I had my baby, I went to early college, two years of high school and two years of college. I then started my career of lawyer and I made my own business" I said.
"What did you do after you left?" I asked.
"Long story" he said.
"Isn't this why we're here?" I asked, getting annoyed.
"I was going to tell you either way" he said.
"Speak then" I said.
"After I left, I had to move in with Madison. I always tried to go and look for you but-" I cut him off.
"Please don't" I said.
"We moved into another state, I started working and God, she was a nightmare. One day I came from work and I saw her with another guy. I then find out that that baby she was waiting wasn't mine. I told her I was leaving and she threatening me that she was gonna kill herself, have abortion and whatever if I left" he said.
"That son of a bitch. I hope she rots in hell" I said.
"Yeah, and I just left and came back to North Carolina but then moved to Cali to finish college and then moved back to North Carolina and I've been living here for a year" he said.
"Career?" I asked.
"Marketing" he said.
"Nice" I said.
I've always wanted a business man.
Omg, shut up Maddeline.
What are you saying?!?
"I wanted to be an actor but fame wasn't just for me. I don't like haters and stuff like that. I still get noticed sometimes, and it's a great feeling but that doesn't get my attention anymore" he said.
"Wow" I said.
"So the baby, what's her name?" he said, getting excited.
"Ariana" I said.
"Really? That's a pretty name. I want to see her! I want to meet her" he said.
"Taylor, I don't know. I have to talk Matt about it-" he cut me off.
"Matt? Your still with Matt?" he said.
"Yeah" I said.
"Of course" he said, rolling his eyes. I scrunched my eyebrows.
"What's that suppose to mean?" I asked.
"Nothing. What does Matt have to do in me meeting Ariana?! I'm the dad, not Matt" he said.
"But she sees him like a dad. If you didn't play your little game, you would have stayed" I said.
"Dude I got lied to! It was a lie for me to go with her. What don't you understand?! I never fucked her!" he said, raising his voice.
I looked at him and didn't say nothing.
"I just want to see my only daughter" he said.
I sighed.
"Are you free this Saturday?" I asked.
"Yes, any day" he said, his frown fading to a smile.
"I'll call you" I said and got up.
I grabbed my trash and walked away to my car.
What am I going to tell Matt?
