I counted. 523 Skype calls, 503 phone calls, 10,364 text messages, and it's finally here.

Every minute that passes, I am one mile closer to Dan.

I had been waiting for so long, and the day was finally here.

I looked back and forth between the road and my gps as I began thinking about what was going to happen in just a few short minutes.

I couldn't seem to wipe the smile off of my face.

Man, I must look like an idiot.

In 8.5 miles, your destination is on the left

I'm going to explode.

Do I look okay?

What if he thinks I'm ugly in person? the camera can be deceiving....

Am I too tall?

Or maybe I'm too short? He said he was 6'3, right?

Shit, do I smell okay?

I definitely won't if I don't stop sweating. Keep it together, Lester.

In 7.3 miles, your destination is on the left.

I took a deep breath, staring out my window, trying to calm my heart beat and my thoughts.

In 4.8 miles, your destination is on the left.

Here it comes. The big moment.

I tried fasten my jeans, and pull down my sweater whilst keeping my hand on the wheel.

In 1.3 miles, your destination is on the left.

Oh, god, holy shit. What am I doing?

You have reached your destination.

I looked up to see a smiling boy, with a head full of curly brown hair, and ecstatic mocha eyes, glimmering with utter happiness and life. His dimple was prominent on his cheek, a sight i dont think ill ever get tired of.

I leaped out of the car, forgetting my luggage, straight into Dan's embrace, the feeling of his touch setting 1,000,000 butterflies in my stomach free.

We pulled away from the hug, and looked into each other's eyes.

"And I thought your eyes were beautiful on the computer screen." Dan spoke in a hushed tone as his face turned bright red.

"You're just beautiful in general." I replied, mustering up the cheesiest line I could. hey, it's what i do.

"Thank you for coming here. I know it cost you so much... I feel really bad."

I immediately nodded my head.

"it was worth it. I just wish I could have done it sooner." I retorted with a re-assuring smile, pulling him into a hug. "this is exactly what I needed."
