I sat there trembling, as I was waiting for Madeline to come home from work so we could go on our date. I was so nervous, and today was the day...I was proposing to Madeline. My love. My soon to be wife. God I loved her.
She finally came home, and I was already in my black ripped up jeans, grey t shirt and leather jacket with a SnapBack. She has a cute little purple dress on. Wow it fit her nicely.
We got in my car, and I drove her to the restaurant where one of our first dates were. After we ate pizza there we went to a movie and a fireworks show. I knew this was the perfect time. I pointed out some fireworks to distract her and I kneel down holding the box next to her.
"Hey baby...look at me" I say softly
She turns around and instantly covers her mouth with her hands almost in tears.
"Will you marry me Madeline?" I smile looking at her.
"M-Max..." She tears up "YES!!! YES!!! A MILLION TIMES YES!!!" She jumps into my arms and we kiss deeply for a long time. God I loved her.
She smiles and lays on my and I slide the ring on her finger, we fell asleep in my car and cuddled in the back seat until morning.
