Madeline finally broke the hug and we sat on her bed, I put my hoodie on avoiding eye contact. Madeline looked at me and said, "you were born a boy, but why didn't you tell anyone..." She set a hand on my upper leg.
"I didn't think I would be accepted, I mean my parents kicked me out when I started high school"
"Max! Oh my god!" She gasps and hugs me again. I hug back.
"No it's fine, really Mads, I got an apartment and a job, and a car. Im fine" I look into her eyes.
"You sure?" She said with a caring soft voice.
"Yes I'm 100% sure Mads" I nod.
Then she lays her head on my shoulder and sighs. "Why didn't you tell me? Don't you trust me?" She says.
"Well...I didn't know you were lesbian and I-I just you know, didn't know if you'd take it well" I shrug. She nods.
"Well I didn't know you were Trans! That must be harder than being a closeted lesbian like me."
"Wait...your in the closet?! But your dad, he seemed like he knew" I said surprised.
"Well he kinda figured it out...but my mom is super homophobic." She says, I hear the fear in her voice.
"I'm here for you if you need anything, ok?" I say sympathetically.
"Ok..." She smiles and lays back on her bed.
I lay back with her and she lays her head on my stomach.
Am I really falling for this girl? That's all I could think...
