Author's Note and Content Warning
This story contains scenes of a man coming to terms with the trauma from his chained captivity and abuse as an adolescent. There are no scenes of the abuse being committed, but of necessity, there is talk about it in retrospect. There are scenes depicting interpersonal sexual activity as a relationship evolves, all of them necessary for moving the story forward.
Although this is a piece of fiction, most of the geographic and historical background are real, as are some of the characters. The criminal activity and the criminal characters are all fictitious, and any resemblances to actual characters or incidents are coincidental. I've written this story to inform and to entertain my readers.
