After further discussions with Denise and Lorne, Catherine phoned Cynthia and explained her lack of communication the past many days as they had hunkered from Robotham. She left out everything concerning their suspicions of her involvement, aware it would add nothing but tension.
In the following weeks, dozens of additional arrests were made across Canada, and authorities in the US and Britain arrested members of nascent networks there. The DNA from the plastinated amputation trophies led to another four matches with unsolved murders. Included in the long list of offences brought against Robotham, were eleven counts of murder.
Traffic on the online restaurant review sites went into rapid decline as their owners scrambled to purge the fraudulent and questionable reviews. Advertising rates on most of the sites were slashed in futile attempts to stem the flow of fleeing clients. Many dining review blogs fell idle, leaving the few well-established and unbiased ones to regain their prominence.
Lorne and Catherine were married in a quiet ceremony in the vineyards at Mosscrop in late July, then they headed to Europe on an extended honeymoon, beginning in Rotterdam to sign contracts for the construction of the new Tastevin. Their honeymoon continued through the German, Austrian, Italian, French, Spanish and Portuguese vineyards as they received splendid hospitality from the producers.
An ultrasound after their return to Vancouver in late October showed Catherine was carrying healthy twins, a boy and a girl.
