Mere POV

I looked at him. I took my time to study him as we looked at each other...

Hazel eyes. Chocolate colored hair- almost falling into his eyes. Light pink lips- lips that were the good size for kissing. Definitely abs under that shirt. And a sexy, but sweet smile.

How could a guy like him never kissed anyone before?

I cleared my throat. "So..."

"So..." he said grinning.

I blushed. "Is it true?" Your first... kiss?"

"Absolutely" he said.

"Mere, get outta here!" Trevor yelled through the kitchen. "I'm closing!"

I rolled my eyes. "Fine, Trevor!" I called back. I looked at Gale. "Want to go for a walk...?"

"Sure" he said standing up.

Gale opened the door for me and stepped to the side to let me pass. "Don't be a naughty girl!" Trevor yelled. "Use condoms!".

"Trevor!" I gasped, blushing.

Trevor walked out behind us. He locked the door and turned to us. "Hey, it's the truth. This may be a one night stand..." he shrugged. He kissed my cheek and walked away. "Remember, condoms!" he called over his shoulder.

I blushed again then looked at Gale. He was looking at me with amusement in his eyes. I blushed even more. "There's a park..." I started.

He nodded. "Come on".

We walked side by side towards the park. After a while, he spoke.

"So..." Gale said. "Your ex...?"

I looked down. "He... cheated on me. With her" I added.

"Oh" he said. "Well, what school do you go to?" I frowned. Should I tell him? A stranger! "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it to sound that way" he said looking at me. "I... had an idea..."

"Oh" I said. Eh, what could go wrong? "I go to Opland High School".

He looked at me, smiling. "No way" he said. I nodded. "I just moved there! I start Monday".

I smiled. "Then I get to see you".

"You bet 'ya" he said. Then he frowned. "We could... get them back?"

I frowned. We reached the park and we sat on the swings. We gently swayed back and forth. "What do you mean?" I asked.

He blushed. I could see him thanks to the street lights. "We could... pretend to be together?"

It was my turn to blush. "But... why would you do that?" I asked.

He looked at me. "You seem like a nice girl. What they did wasn't fair".

"I don't know..." I trailed off. Did I want to?

"Or we can fake a breakup because, you know I'll go there and they think we're... going out".

Should I? I mean, I knew it was wrong. I was practically using him. But he was offering himself. And Cameron DID deserve it. Jena too.

I looked at Gale. I nodded. "Sounds like a plan" I whispered.

He smiled at me. He jumped off his swing and stopped mine. "Well, I gotta go" he said. "We'll meet at the front?".

I nodded. "Sure".

"Do you need a ride?" he asked.

I blushed and nodded. The 'Never take a stranger's ride' rule left my mind.

Gale and I walked back to the restaurant. Outside, was his car.

Minutes later, I was outside my home. The lights were off meaning my parents and two big brother's were asleep.

Gale walked me to the front door. "Ugh... it was nice... meeting you?" I asked.

He chuckled and nodded. "Definitely".

I looked behind him and saw a car. A familiar car. I sighed. "Don't look back. He's here. What do we do?" I asked, smiling.

Gale blushed. "I guess I have to..." he trailed off.

I blushed with him. "Your second kiss?" I asked. He nodded. "Ok".

Gale looked at me. He took a hesitant step towards me. His hands rested on my hips and he leaned down. I wrapped my arms around instinctively as our lips met. The kiss was soft and gentle. And oddly comfortable...

Gale pulled me closer and I knew he didn't even know what he was doing. Pure impulse- which was fine with me. This was good. His hands tightened around me making me gasp slowly. Surprisingly, he slid his tongue into my mouth. I surprised myself by moaning. Gale gently pushed me to the wall. My back touched the wall and I gasped.

I couldn't help it. I jumped up and wrapped my legs around his waist. He grabbed my legs to keep me up. When I felt his... big friend rubbing against me slowly, I pulled away. We were both breathing fast. Our breaths mixing. I blushed. "I'm sorry. I-..." I trailed off.

Gale let me stand and blushed. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that".

"It's my fault" we both said at the same time.

We laughed a little. "See you Monday?" I asked.

He nodded. "I'll be waiting for you".

Gale turned and walked away. I stood there and watched him drive away. I smiled widely as I opened the door and stepped in. I closed the door and not seconds later, there was a light knock. I opened the door and froze.

A VERY ANGRY looking Cameron stood there- jaw clenched.
