Having a glass of Budweiser earlier helped him to gain energy that he had right now. He never felt so lively and bubbly before.
It had been a tough day for Ivan Vasquez, he had to work on a Saturday and faced terrible customers the whole day. He had to do that as a technical support representative in one of the tech companies here in Brooklyn.
It had only been two months since he started working there, it was important for him to make a good impression. He was all worn out. Drained.
But he already made a promise that he would be here, he already said yes. He couldn't just go and leave this girl, especially this late at night.
A girl whom he'd met four days ago while passing down one of the roads in Ocean Avenue after his work. He didn't noticed her until she crossed on a green light.
She was half-way through the lane when a Honda CR-v SUV in motion came into her. Everything then happened so fast. One second ago, he was there on the sidewalk watching what was about to happen, now, he was on the ground.
With a girl.
He couldn't believe he just ran into a car. He rescued her.
"What the hell? You tryna make me go to jail?" SUV driver burst out of anger.
"We're sorry si--"
"You better be! Hey if you tryna suicide, do it yourself!" And the car stormed on its way.
He was surprised of what just happened back there. Him running into a car was unexpected. It was like there was some kind of adrenaline that took place that made him rush into the highway.
"Miss are you okay?"
Her face was pale white when she faced him, he could see the fear forming in her eyes.
"...Yea, I'm sorry I didn--- I didn't see the green light" She paused for awhile. "Thank you"
"That's fine. Next time just be careful."
She nodded. And that was a hint for him to go.
It was Thursday noon when he and his workmates decided to grab some coffee. They finished the first four hours of their work on that day and thought they needed something to drink to keep them going.
They went to one of the best coffee shops in town, Toby's Estate located at the N 6th Street, Williamsburg.
His friends already took their seat outside and pointed him the one to take their orders.
"What? No, you do it." He protested.
"C'mon man, just do it. It's kinda hassle if we all walk up there" Shaun whined.
"But there's six coffees and I've got only like, two hands."
They laughed.
"Dude, you sound like a girl complainin'. Fine, I'll go with you" Jan volunteered.
They both went to the counter with a list in their hand. The six of them each wanted different kind of drinks and it was hard for him to memorize all of it.
While waiting in their line, Jan tapped his shoulder and was crooking a thumb to a person in front of them.
They were next in line to a chick.
"Definition of H-O-T."
Ivan smirked. "She's not even facing here. All you see is her back."
"Dude, just look at that ass. Its... everything!"
