Allegro
I walk towards the canteen with Willa. She had been intrigued ever since she saw me in the morning, not because I was away for the night but for the Armani shirt that is wrapped around my body. We take a plate and place our choice of food on it. We head towards the table and take our seats. Willa asks me about the shirt and I tell her about the guy I met at the club last night and she smiles. Why wouldn't she? We both were alike: dangerously sweet, equally mischievous. People dreaded us, together. One of us was difficult enough to deal with and two combined together? No chance of handling it.
Willa stands up, leaving the seat, to throw away her remnants and to meet Jasper, and telling me to wait for her in the canteen. And that's when the temperature of the room changes once again. I can feel it. He is here. I don't why it's shocking considering the fact that we study in the same college. But it does shock me, and hits me hard. I take in a deep breath before turning my head to search for my dark Adonis. My eyes find the door and they immediately see him, a pure bliss. He laughs with his friends, his eyes crinkling at the sides and he throws his head back a little, like a kid. I watch him as he enters the canteen, a backpack slung on one of his shoulders, the brown hair tousled as always and him laughing at almost everything his friends say. He wears a simple navy blue t-shirt and black jeans. And yet, here I am, drooling over the man as I watch his every movement. Suddenly, he stops in his track. His friends call him over and he raises a finger, indicating to give him a minute. He closes his eyes and takes in a deep breath, before he turns his head right and he searches the room for something. It takes him sometime before his eyes rest on mine.
My breath hitches in my throat, even with this small connection we're having with our eyes. He turns his head back and for a moment, I think he will leave. But he yells something to his friends, something that is unheard over the canteen chatter before he walks over to my seat. Instantly, rage hits my body, burning and coursing through every part of my body. I close my eyes. What is happening? I am sitting here, drooling over Grant and am also vexed of him. Something is wrong. He stands there with his plate, looking at me, his eyes pleading for me permission.
Unable to deny the innocent look, I nod and a small smile tugs at the corner of my lips. This is utter craziness and I'm happily embracing it. This man is driving me insane.
Grant pulls out a chair and sits, placing his plate on the table, before his emerald green eyes meet my sapphire blue ones. He takes in a deep breath and runs his hand through his hair. "Look. I'm sorry. It was such an important work, I had to leave. You,",he says before taking in a deep breath," you really think, I would just leave in between that without any major reason?"
GrantI watch her beautiful blue eyes which stare back at me with utter confusion, the smirk gone from her face. I wonder if she will let me in. I have already presented my apology, it's upto her if she wants to accept it or not. Well I hope she does. At least let me end what we began. It's impossible to get my mind off her.
She just sits there for seconds, crossing her arms over her chest. I almost cross the table to give her a hug when I see her smirk make its way back to her face."Oh dear, tell me how shall I accept your apology? You just left me that night when I was about to drag you up to my bedroom. How do I know that you won't leave me again with another turn-on's ever?" She says and I cough and look away for a second to recover my breath. I need a break from those ridiculous words.
"I won't. I promise."
"Well then,",she says standing up," you know where I live then." She grins and walks over to me before bending down and pressing a kiss on my cheek. Then she walks straight before heading out of the door. She's right. I do know where she lives. But shall I just go there whenever I want to? I suddenly realize that in spite of seeing this mischievous angel so many times, I don't have her mobile number. I look back at the door but she is already gone. I once again run a hand through my hair and look at my untouched sandwich. Suddenly, my mind drifts off to the party I'm attending tonight. It's being thrown over by Theo, one of my friends. I sigh, before picking up my plate and leaving the chair, to head over to my friends.
