-=2 Months Later (Cuz I'm a timelord)=-

Narumi and her family were unpacked and settled into their new home in Geosenge. Their cabin was considerably bigger than their last house, which was a major improvement. Apparently, about 10 years ago, when the Kalos Disaster took place, this was one of the houses that got knocked clean over! Aarune thought that was a cool bit of trivia, anyway.

"Today's the day, Narumi!" Narumi was giving herself a pep-talk in the bathroom mirror. "You are going to knock the entire population of Kalo's socks off! You will become the champion like Serena and Calem!" Narumi sighed. Talking to yourself in the mirror was really quite strange.

Narumi picked up her bag and Flygon's Pokeball. "I'm leaaaving!" Narumi called. Her parents both rushed over. "Bye dear," her mother said as she hugged her tightly. "Before flying to Route 1," her father said matter-of-factly, "you should first go to Route 10 right outside of our town and catch a Pokemon." Narumi nodded and hugged both of her parents.

Narumi rushed out the door with a swing in her step and took one last look at her house. It would be a long while before she saw it again. Narumi turned around and marched through the tall grass, waiting for the Pokemon to come to her. Sure enough, an adorable Eevee bumped into her leg just moments after she set foot in the grass.

Narumi knew what to do. "Go, Bug!" Narumi's Flygon, whom she had named "Bug", flew out of the Pokeball, eager to stretch his wings. "Use Secret Power, but do it gently!" Bug nodded and slammed into the Eevee. The Eevee whimpered, and then used Baby-Doll Eyes.

Bug looked at Narumi, and then at Eevee. This continued for a moment until Narumi cut in. "Don't worry, you don't have to attack any more." Bug sighed with relief and hovered behind Narumi as she tossed a Pokeball at Eevee.

It wiggled once, then twice, and Eevee burst out of the Pokeball, rendering it completely useless. It then launched razor-sharp stars towards Bug, which he easily dodged. Narumi threw another Pokeball at Eevee, and it wobbled once, then twice, then a third time, and then sparkles showered from the Pokeball as it clicked shut.

Narumi squealed in excitement. "I caught my first Pokemon!" Narumi sent it out and scanned it.

Eevee: The Evolution Pokemon

An Eevee has an unstable genetic makeup that suddenly mutates due to its enviornment. Radiation from various stones causes this Pokemon to evolve.

Eevee is the first form of Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon.

This Eevee Knows: Baby Doll Eyes, Swift, Bite, and Growl.

Narumi smiled. She had so many options as for what Eevee could evolve into. She pet the Eevee on the head, and it made a whistling sound. "You and I are going to be great friends...Fuji!" Her mother, Rose, told a story about a man named Mr. Fuji who loved all Pokemon to her when she was a little girl.

Narumi returned Eevee and hopped on Bug's back. "Bug, use Fly to travel to Vaniville!" Somehow, Bug knew exactly where it was and landed right in the middle of town, which earned us weird stares from a couple of people walking down the street. Suddenly, a door from one of the few houses slammed shut. A girl, about 13, approached Narumi.

"Hiya! I'm Astrid!" Narumi smiled. "Are you a new trainer?" Astrid nodded. "Yep! I'm about to get my starter Pokemon! Hey...you should come too! I'm sure Trevor would let you get one!" A confused look washed over Narumi's face. "Who's Trevor?" "He's Professor Sycamore's assistant! He comes out here every year to give us new trainers a Pokemon!" Astrid was halfway out of Vaniville's gates by now. "Let's go!" Narumi returned Flygon and followed Astrid to Aquacorde Town.

A man with bright orange hair sat at a table talking with a blue-haired boy about photography when the man waved us over. "Astrid! Who's that?" The blue haired boy looked a little confused. "This is Narumi! She's a new trainer like us, and since there was only two trainers in the town this year, I thought she could get a starter Pokemon!" The blue haired boy nodded understandingly. "Well, I'm Eito! Nice to meet you!"

Astrid and Narumi sat down as the orange haired man, who Narumi assumed was Trevor, set down a cylinder shaped box with three Pokeballs inside. "Now, this is an important choice! These will be the Pokemon that will be your companion for your entire journey! Now, this is Froakie, Chespin, and Fennekin!" Trevor tossed all three Pokeballs in the air, and three Pokemon emerged. One was blue with yellow eyes and a bubble like scarf, one was brown with a green helmet thing, and one was yellow with red fur coming out of its giant ears.

"You guys can pick first," Eito offered. Astrid nodded. "Okay, I'll take this one!" Astrid picked up the brown one with the green helmet. Trevor handed her a Pokeball. "That's Chespin, and here's his Pokeball!" Astrid took a good look at Chespin as Narumi picked up the yellow one. "I like this one!" Trevor handed her a Pokeball as well. "That's Fennekin...and that leaves you, Eito, with Froakie!" Trevor tossed him Froakie's Pokeball, and Eito caught it with ease.

"We should all travel TOGETHER!" Astrid squealed. Narumi nodded. "That sounds good to me." Eito looked skeptical. "Sorry, guys, but I'd rather travel on my own..." Astrid smiled. "It's okay, Eito! We're sure to meet up anyways!" Astrid turned to Narumi. "Now, let's have a battle! Go, Acorn!" Astrid sent out Chespin. "That's what I nicknamed him!" Astrid said matter-of-factly. "Okay! Go, Firefox!" Narumi let Fennekin out of her Pokeball. "You can have the first move, Astrid!"

"Okay! Acorn, use Vine Whip!"

Acorn struck Firefox hard, but it didn't do too much damage.

"Firefox, use Ember!"

Firefox blasted Acorn with a burning-hot ember, taking away almost half of his health. Astrid frowned.

"Acorn, try Vine Whip again!"

Acorn whipped Firefox again, in the nose this time, but to no avail.

"Firefox, Ember, once more!"

Firefox spit out an extremely hot ember and hit Acorn square in the face, leaving it to collapse on the brick road.

Astrid huffed. "Oh well! We'll get super strong! Now, let's go to the Healing Center! The lady there will heal us both for free!" Narumi followed Astrid to the Healing Center and, sure enough, the woman kindly healed all of our Pokemon to full health, no charge.

Narumi smiled as she gazed towards Route 2. "Shall we?" Narumi held out her hand for Astrid to take. Astrid placed her hand in hers. "We shall!" Both girls giggled as they made their way to Route 2, hand-in-hand.
