Narumi called over all of the Pokemon, Astrid's and her own, to see Fuji's new form. Everyone looked very impressed. Fuji had a big smile on his face. Well, as big as an Espeon could smile. Astrid looked up at the sky. "Hey, Narumi, the sun is setting, we should get going."

"Oh yeah! I totally forgot! Bye Mom! Bye Dad!" Narumi fumbled for her Pokeballs and began to return all of her Pokemon. "Girls, you can stay in that cabin over there," Rose said as she gestured towards a small cabin next to a larger cabin. "You can sleep in the small cabin, and we will stay in the bigger one, and the kitchen is in there too, if you need it."

Astrid grinned. "Thanks, Mr and Mrs...what's your last name?" "Fujimoto," Aarune said. "Mr. and Mrs. Fujimoto," Astrid finished. Aarune and Rose started off to the big cabin, while Astrid and Narumi went to the small one.

The small cabin had wooden walls and floors, with a bunk bed and a closet for clothes, and a shelf specifically for Pokeballs. The cabin was big enough for their smaller Pokemon, but Bug would be too tall. "Sorry Bug." Narumi put his Pokeball on one of the spots on the shelf. Narumi and Astrid let out all of their other Pokemon to roam the cabin. Mareep was talking to Fuji in some sort of Pokemon language. Vivi was bouncing on the bottom bunk with Firefox and Acorn, while Zig was rolling around on the floor.

"Hey, what's that Mareep's name?" Astrid was fiddling with her Pokedex, and scanning all the Pokemon. Narumi shrugged. "I don't know...maybe Cotton?" Astrid nodded. "That sounds good...hey, did you know this Pokedex can show habitats?" Narumi looked over her shoulder. "Really? Cool!"

Narumi yawned. "I...am really tired." Astrid climbed onto the top bunk. "Me too...g'night, bud," she said as she drifted off to sleep. Narumi jumped into the bottom bunk and was about to fall asleep before she remembered her Pokemon. She started to return her Pokemon, but Fuji and Cotton hopped into her bunk and refused to leave. Narumi sighed. "Fine...just, don't be too noisy." Narumi went back to bed, Fuji and Cotton lying at her feet.

Aarune threw open the cabin door. "RISE AND SHINE!!!" Narumi threw a pillow at him. "5 more minutes..." Aarune flipped on the lights. "You gotta wake up, guys, you have a journey to go on!" Astrid politely got out of bed and made it without putting up a fight, but Narumi was being stubborn. Aarune walked over and threw off the sheets and whacked Narumi with the same pillow she threw at him moments before.

"Fine!" Narumi grabbed a black tank top, a light blue pair of jeans, a pair of pink shoes, and a pink bow. Astrid picked a purple tee, a pair of black shorts, and a pair of lavender sneakers. Aarune left the room and closed the door while the girls changed behind two screens that were folded up in the closet.

Narumi grabbed her bag and gently placed her Pokeballs in it while Astrid packed the rest of her stuff. "Ready to bounce?" Narumi zipped up her bag. Astrid nodded. "I'm ready when you are!" Narumi and Astrid stepped out into the ranch, where Aarune and Rose were waiting with two toaster pastries, already cooked.

Rose handed Astrid her pastry, and Aarune handed one to Narumi. "Bye girls! Come back to visit!" Rose said. Narumi hugged both of her parents. "Bye Mom! Bye Dad!" Narumi threw Bug's Pokeball into the air, and both girls climbed onto his back, and they flew into the pink sunrise.

Since Bug was such a fast flyer, it took almost no time to get to Route 3. The girls quickly scarfed down their pastries. "I need to do some training," Narumi said. "I'm going to battle some of these people." "Alrighty, I'll go catch something!" Before Narumi could respond, Astrid ran off to a nearby patch of grass. Narumi approached a young boy, only about 4. "Hiya! I'm Oliver! Wanna battle? Be careful, though, I'm super duper tough!" Narumi giggled. "Sure! Go, Vivi!" Vivi looked ready to battle. "Okay! Go, Caterpie!" The Caterpie looked confused, like this was his first battle.

"Vivi! Use Stun Spore!" Vivi blasted little yellow spark-looking things at the Caterpie. It twitched and emitted a yellow aura.

"Darn it! Caterpie, use Tackle!" The Caterpie beat the paralysis and lunged towards Vivi. Vivi flinched and took a few steps back.

"It's alright! Scatterbug, Tackle!" Vivi tackled Caterpie as hard as she could, which worked quite well.

"Caterpie! Tackle!" Caterpie tried to tackle Vivi, but was frozen in place with paralysis.

Narumi fist-pumped. "Finish it off with Tackle!" Vivi gave it her all and tackled the Caterpie, knocking it out.

Oliver frowned. "Aw man...here's 63 P for beating me!" Narumi smiled. "Thank you! And thanks for battling me!" Oliver nodded. "No problem...I gotta go heal! Bye!" The boy ran off to Santalune, where the Pokemon Center was waiting with open doors. She figured she should probably head to Santalune too, when she saw a familiar mop of blue hair skating in the distance: Eito.

"EITO!" Astrid glanced over to see Narumi racing to catch up with him. Astrid hadn't yet caught a Pokemon, but that could wait. She took off after Narumi, eager to see her friend. She didn't even waste a second returning Acorn, who was trying to catch up to her.

Finally, the girls caught up to Eito. "Hi...Eito..." Astrid panted. Narumi couldn't even talk after chasing him around, she was just panting like a dog. Eito looked guilty. "Eh heh...sorry guys." Narumi finally got her breath back. "It's okay...Phew! What a workout!" The trio then broke out into laughter. "Hey Eito," Narumi asked. "Do you want to have a battle?"

Eito nodded. "I thought you'd never ask." The group moved to a more open area, and they requested for Astrid to judge. Eito and Narumi took their places, while Astrid stood in the middle. "This is a two on two battle between Eito and Narumi! No switch ins, only one Pokemon on the field at a time! Send out your Pokemon!"

"Go, Vivi!" Narumi threw Vivi's Pokeball in the air. Vivi still had a little damage, but she would be good to go. Eito nodded. "Go, Litleo!" Eito sent out a cute little brown Pokemon. "You can have the first move," Eito offered.

"Okay! Vivi, Stun Spore!" The yellow dust rained down on Litleo. It almost missed, but a few managed to make contact with Litleo's tail, which gave it the yellow aura paralysis gave you.

Eito grumbled. "Litleo, Leer!" Litleo shot a death glare at Vivi, which made her tremble. At this stage, Narumi knew exactly what Eito was doing. Too bad his plan wouldn't work.

She grinned. "Vivi, Tackle!" Vivi lunged at the Litleo, taking away about a fourth of his health. Narumi sighed. This would be tedious.

Eito grinned as well. "Use Leer again!" Litleo gave an even nastier look at Vivi, who backed away.

"Don't let it get to your head! Tackle, once more!" Vivi slammed into Litleo, even harder than before. Half of Litleo's health was gone.

Eito's smile went from ear to ear. "Here we go! Use Ember!" Litleo tried to shoot a little fireball towards Vivi, but was frozen due to paralysis. He swore under his breath.

"Vivi! Tackle again!" Vivi did the same thing that she did the previous turn, doing the same amount of damage.

Eito had a serious look on his face. He knew one more hit and Litleo was down. "EMBER!" Litleo shot a burning-hot ember right in Vivi's face. Her health was down to red, adding up the damage from Oliver and the damage from the super-effective move.

"WHAT?!" Eito yelled. "I lowered your defense two stages! That should have knocked you out for sure!" Narumi's smile was widening by the minute. "Ember is a special attack, so you'd have to lower special defense for that to work! Now, Vivi, finish Litleo off with Tackle!" Before Eito could say anything, Vivi slammed into Litleo with all her might, knocking him out.

"Litleo has fainted!" Astrid declared. "The winner of this round is Naru-HUH?!"
