Liam had circulated pictures of me kissing Angelina on the beach, and me kissing Liam in the parking lot to every student in the school using an anonymous number.

Even though I had not kissed Liam, he had taken advantage of my drugged state and made it seem as though I was having an intense make out session with him.

There was another photo of us where it seemed that I was taking off his shirt, when in reality, I was trying to push him off of me by tugging at his shirt.

But someone had forwarded those pictures to a staff member by mistake, and that's how the incident came to light two weeks later. Our parents got involved in the whole issue, and after almost 15 days of torture, name-calling, nightmares and tears, the Dean made sure that everything was sorted out.

Liam's, Angelina's and my parents were called to school, and an explanation was demanded by the Dean as to why I was so eager to publicise my love life on such a large scale.

I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry.

I chose the latter, and I'm glad I did. I blamed everything on Liam and told the Dean what I assumed had happened. Liam's closest friends were called to the office and when they were threated to be expelled if they were caught lying, one of them spilled the beans about Liam drugging me.

I was pretty much numb the whole time, even when Liam told everyone present in the office about why he did what he did.

Liam had liked Angelina for a long time and they had been dating secretly for almost a year. But she then broke up with him because she started liking me. To Liam, if I had been a guy, all it would've taken to threaten me into backing off and letting Liam have Angelina was rounding up on me and throwing a punch here and there.

But I was a girl, and Liam wanted revenge for stealing his love. What a bitter, cruel revenge plan...

If it weren't for the accidental message of our pictures to the staff member, Liam's plan would've worked perfectly.

Angelina would've thought I was playing her; Liam would've played along and said that I was forcing him to make out with me, and she would've gone crying back to Liam who would've accepted her with open arms.

Me hitting the bottom rock of the popularity chart would've been an additional advantage to his plan.

But most of this did not happen.

Liam was punished severely and was made to see a therapist. His parents took away his car keys.

But what made me the happiest was that I mustered a little courage to ask Angelina out on a date with me, and she said yes, readily...

If only I had made a few right choices that night and not trusted a stranger like Liam, this catastrophe could've been prevented.

But all was well, and I couldn't ask for a happier ending.

I feel that I could've let Liam's plan be successful, making Macy suffer, having no one but Claudia on her side, but I believe in happy endings :) (and also there was a word limit, otherwise this happy ending could've been prolonged by 73728 chapters 😂)
