The Battle

Chapter 11

I told Zhu Li and Varrick that I'm gonna be gone for a while that they're gonna have to keep the company on check and they didn't mind. It worries me to have Varrick run the company but hopefully he won't be a pain in the ass. Once that's taken care of I take out my suitcase and pack everything I need to take for I don't know how long I'll be gone. Once everything is set I take the luggages to my car and puts them in the back seat. I go back inside and makes sure I got everything. Then I grab the keys and goes to my car and gets in. I start it up and drives to the docks to catch a ferry that would go to the South Pole. I park the car on the side and takes out my luggages. "Here ma'am let me help you" one of the helpers said and takes a couple of my luggage. "Thanks" I smile "Your welcome" he smiles back. We get on board and he shows me where to put my luggage. The boat starts to sail away and I go to the top deck to watch Republic City get small every minute. I lean on the rails and looks down and watch the waves crash against the boat. I look back up and smiles "I'm coming Korra".

I'm finally here after a three day sail. I found a hotel to keep my luggages there for right now. Luckily I brought something to keep me warm but apparently it's not helping. So I'm hugging myself to keep warm while going to where Korra lives. Once I get there I'm mesmerized by how bid it is. I mean it's like passed the height of my mansion. I go to the front door. "Can I help you ma'am?" someone says and I turn around and it's one of the guards "Yes I need to see Tonraq and Senna" he looks confused "They told me to come and take a look at something that needs fixing cause I'm an engineer" "Oh of course. Right this way ma'am" he says and I follow him. Once we see them I say thank you and he nods and leaves. I go up to them and clears my throat to get there attention. "I hope I'm not interrupting?" "Asami? No of course not" Senna says and hugs me and I hug back. "What are you doing here?" Tonraq says and comes to hug me as well and I hug back. "I'm here to be with Korra and help in any way I can" they smile "Well we're glad your here" Senna says "Thanks" I smile and they nod "And if you're gonna stay here then your gonna need a different jacket besides that" Senna says "Yeah I could say the same thing cause I was freezing my butt off while coming here" "Maybe Korra will let you use one of her coat jackets" "Speaking of Korra where is she?" "She's in her room. It's gonna be down the hall to your right" "Thanks". The door is closed so I knock on it. "Go away Mom I just want to be alone" it broke my heart when she said that but I push it aside "What if it's not your mom?" I say and then I hear some shuffling and the door opens and Korra goes wide eyes. Her bags under her eyes are more noticeable and it looks like she's losing a little weight. "Asami? What are you doing here?" "I came to be with you and help you. I wouldn't let you do this on your own" she smiles and hugs my waist and I chuckle and hugs her back. "Thanks Asami. I'm glad I have the greatest, caring, most loving girlfriend in the world" "Your welcome Korra" "Um...can I have a kiss?" I chuckle "Yes you may my dork" I kiss her and she kisses back "And I'm not a dork" she pouts and I can't help but laugh "Yes you are" "Whatever" she stills pouts and crosses her arms and I laugh again. "Girls dinner is ready" Senna calls out "Do you want to go eat?" I ask "No I'm good" "Have you been eating lately?" she looks down and shakes her head no. I kneel down to look at her "Sweetie you've got to eat something. If not then your not gonna be strong and healthy and I like seeing you with muscle. So when we go over there I want you to eat. For me?" "Alright" I nod and wheels her to have dinner. I look at Senna and Tonraq and they are shocked because Korra is eating. I smile and eats my food. Once everyone is done I help Tonraq clean the plates. "So your dating my daughter huh?" Tonraq says "Yes sir" "Please just call me Tonraq" "Yes sir uh I mean Tonraq" he laughs "I can tell you truly do love her cause when she was injured you stayed by her side and helped her" "I'm sorry. I know you wanted to do the same but I got in the way" "It's alright. I didn't want spoil the moment with y'all. Your a great friend and girlfriend to her so I accept you two dating" I look at him and smiles "Thank you" he smiles and nods. Once we clean everything I head over to Korra's room. "Knock knock" I say and comes in. Korra looks up from reading something and smiles and I smile back and sits down on the bed beside her. "What'cha reading?" I ask looking down at the letter in Korra's hands. "It's a letter from Bolin. It's funny when he doesn't know how to draw" I chuckle and I smile cause Korra did the same. "What about Mako?" "His letters are alright but yet they get boring and awkward. He talks about the weather and such" "Yep that's Mako" we laugh again. "Why don't we get some sleep?" she nods and we get comfortable. I smile cause Korra moves close to me and lays her head on my chest and wraps her arm around me. I kiss her forehead "I love you Korra" "I love you too".
