The time has come.
A time for horror
A time for blood
A time for the dead to rise
A time for scares
And by that I mean It's Halloween. The Hospital is pretty chill about Halloween, they even throw a small celebration. Evan went nuts. He loves Halloween and anything spooky. He had been dancing around our room, singing It's Almost Halloween by Panic! at the Disco while hanging up some ghost drawings I did. We didn't really mention the whole "Anti-Prophet" thing. I wanted to keep that out of my mind as long as possible.
"Evan?" I asked
"Mhm?"
"What do you want to do for Halloween?"
"You'll see..."
I was suspicious now.
"What do you mean?"
" I'll show you."
"Evan..."
"Kyle, chill. It's gonna be fine, you can trust me."
Then he promptly turned around and hung up more drawings.
I was skeptical about it, but it was clear that the conversation was over. I still didn't want to just sit around and do nothing. I wanted to get festive! I thought for a second before saying
" How about we Netflix some Halloween movies?"
Evan whirled around and screamed
"Yeeeessssss! Halloween movies are the best!"
We made a fortress out of pillows and blankets. It was comfy.
We turned out the lights and sat, trying to decide what movies to watch. What about the grudge?" Evan asked. He had been trying to convince me to watch some really scary movies.
"No."
"The Orphanage?"
"Absolutely not!"
"Mamma?"
"Do you want me to have nightmares for the rest of my life?"
"Good point. What about sinister?"
"Eh... I guess that would be cool, I think someone told me it wasn't too creepy."
"Yeah, it's not that bad. It's mainly jumpscares."
" pshh, I think I can handle a few jumpscares."
"You sure?"
"I'll be fine!"
"Sure you will..."
"You think I'll be scared?"
" I doubt you won't be."
Rude. Now that Evan thought I would be peeing the bed, I would have to act extra brave. Which was just more work for me. Ugh.
I was totally right. It was only jumpscares. (In your face, Evan.) The movie was pretty disturbing though, I have to admit.
Then Evan made me watch Sinister Two. Now that was scary. At the end when Mr.Boogey jumped at the screen, I screamed and fell off my bed. All things considered, I wasn't too freaked out until someone *cough* Evan *cough* decided it would be good idea to tell me his Halloween plans.
"No."
"Oh come on, it won't be that bad.."
"No!"
" Please..."
"No."
Evan wanted to explore the basement of the Asylum. In case you missed it I'll say again the tiny fact that its the BASEMENT OF THE FRICKIN ASYLUM. LIKE HAVE YOU NEVER SEEN A HORROR MOVIE?! THE NUMBER ONE RULE IS THAT YOU NEVER GO IN THE BASEMENT. THE BASEMENT IS WHERE ALL THE CREEPY THINGS HAPPEN.
"Seriously Evan I am not exploring that place."
"Why Not!
"Are you effing serious? It is the basement of an asylum, I'm not going there."
"Okay..."
I turned to walk off. I had nowhere to be, I was just signaling the end of our argument. Evan lowered his head in shame. Then he smirked and whispered
" I knew you you would be too scared to do it."
I turned around and glowered
"What did you just say?"
" I said, I knew you would be too scared to do it."
" I swear you are such a punk..."
"Maybe, but at least I'm a punk who isn't scared of anything."
I glowered at Evan some more. I knew I was proud, but whatevs. Evan was going to pay for insulting me.
"Oh really?" I smirked "Not scared of anything?"
"Nothing. Unlike you..."
That was it. Evan crossed the line.
" FIGHT ME!" I yelled as I lunged at Evan. I tried to tackle him, but he is so much taller than me. Evan just picked me up and flung me over his shoulder. I squirmed and kicked, but Evan just tightened his grip on me. Eventually I just gave up. It was no use trying to fight him. Evan put me down and asked "You know we are going to the Halloween party first, right?"Oh.
"Um, yeah, I...Totally... Knew... That.."
Evan rolled his eyes and smiled. "Well, lets go then."

Evan and I walked into the common room to see a whole table with food. The staff was lightly dressed up as well. I spotted Cassie among the crowd and waved. She waved back and continued on her way. I told Evan that I was gonna get us some drinks. As I made my way over to the food table, I muttered a few greetings. I didn't really know anyone in the Asylum except Evan and Cassie, but I would still be polite. As I turned back around, I saw something that amused me.
