Marasu, Alexi, Cori, Bodder, and Alcanerian watched as the birds approached. Nyla soon joined them. As the birds got closer they noticed they were carrying sticks with fire at the end. "Isnt it kinda ironic that dinner is attacking us?" Alexi barked. Marasu chuckled. "That just means that after this we will have plenty to eat." She barked then cleared her throat before howling, "Members of wolf castle, attack!" Everyone started to race towards the enemy. Marasu rose up and attacked her first enemy, ripping it to shreds, then glided to the left to dodge an attack. She flew up higher to get a birds eye view of the enemy. Then spotted a target and took a dive. When she got close she grabbed the bird in her mouth and crushed it with her strong jaws, just pulling up before she hit the ground. As she did, another bird caught his talons on Marasu's cheek. She spat the bird out of her mouth and batted the other bird with her wing. When she had a moment to spare she looked down to see that the bird who she thought she had crushed was up again and sneaking up on Bodder. "Bodder look out!" She barked and swooped in to stop the bird from attacking him. Bodder was surrounded by enimeies who were moving too fast for him to attack. Luckily with their speed their aim wast as good and missed or hit his armor. Eventually he was able to spot one who had dropped its flame stick strait ahead of him and was desperately searching for it. While it was distracted he ran and jumped up to it and caught it in his mouth, chewed, then swallowed. A few seconds later he started to cough, then threw up the bird. It flew away. Cori was watching at the time, "whats up with these birds? They dont die!" He barked while batting away birds. "They are immortal. A spell has been put on them." Barked Alcanerian. At that moment Bodder collapsed into the snow. "Quick get him inside the bird probably damaged his insides." She barked again. Cori flew over and picked him up and took him to the side door. Borawark opened it for him. "Can you take him from here?" Borawark nodded and as soon as he took his attention away from the door a wolf swooped past them and flew out the door. "Clairine!" Cori and Borawark barked. Cori flew after her and darted infront. "What are you doing out here?" He barked. "I cant stand by and wait for the fight to be over this time! I want to fight!" A bird began to peck at her fur. Using her giant tail, she swatted it away. "I'm capable of fighting." He sighed. "Fine," he barked while taking his armor off," but take my armor." He handed it to her. "But you need it." She barked back, shoving it away. "Ull need it more than i do." After afew minutes Clairine took the armor.
Meanwhile, Alexi was using her own method of attacking the birds, pouncing on them till they were deep into the snow, then burring them. She wasnt paying attention to the fact that all the birds were flying out of their burial grounds behind her. One picked up a flame stick and swooped past her back leg. Alexi felt a pinch of pain in her leg and turned around. It had caught fire. She pushed her paw into the snow hoping that would put out the flame...but it only grew. She quickly ran over to the side door and howled to be let in. When Borawark opened the door she rushed in and up the stairs in a panic. Alcanerian had been watching and mumbled to herself, "immortal birds....eternal flame...what kind of a curse is this?" A bird flung a giant stick at her. She dodged but it landed right in the middle of one of her chains attached to her leg. She turned around to look at her leg, realizing it was stuck, then looked up at the bird "So you wanna play dirty huh?" She barked while grinning. The bird replied with a spinning dive aimed at Alcanerian's back. She rolled and dodged, the grabbed the stick out of the ground and started using it like a bat. Once the bird was down she showed off, twirling it in the air then catching it again. When she caught the stick she noticed another bird was flying towards her. She ducked and did a backflip, nailing the bird right in the face with her claws, then landing perfectly on her feet. The other bird had gotten up and was flying towards her at full speed. Seeming to be out of tricks, she ran as fast as she could for the forest. The bird tried to speed up to catch her. Getting super close to her tail, the bird pulled its claws forward ready to attack. Alcanerian suddenly darted up a tree and the bird, unable to slow down, ran straight into the tree. Out of breath, Alcanerian checked her surroundings. When she thought she was clear she relaxed in the tree. A giant bird unlike the others swooped by the tree and knocked Alcanerian out of it. Quickly stumbling to her feet and turning around, Alcanerian growled at the large bird, "Who might you be?" No response... "Are you the one who placed the spell on these birds?" Still no response... "Oh yeah...I cant speak bird." She mumbled to herself before she charged towards the bird.
