The man on the other side was dressed in a white suit. His hair Dark brown and a small goette cupped his chin. He was handsome... otherworldly. By the looks of it he was not happy to be facing Panki's dad. "What do you want." Jahova ordered more than asked. A smirk aroused on has face before he answered. "I don't need anything." He stated. The man in white looked even more angry. "Then why did thou summon me?!"
"The girl wants to speak with you." He finally explained. I blushed a bit since I didn't know what to say. Giving a sheepish smile I walked closer to the mirror, fixing my hair. His gaze went to mine, and it softened a bit. "My child, what is troubling you enough to go to the fallen?" He bends down to my height from the tall mirror. Meeting me at eye level. "I... I wanted to know... If my friend... Lillian was there." I stuttered with pain in each syllable. I have been such a crybaby.. I wish I could turn it all off like Bri did sometimes. It seems like it would be easier. He smiled a bit then disappeared. What? Did.. Did I just blow up my chance?! Did I say something wrong!? The fog in the glass starts to clear just a tad, feeling my only way to contact her loosing its grip. "Please!! Please I just want to see her! One last time! Please! I-"
"Deziree?!" I hear a voice wail out. I look up from my tears and see a beautiful face staring at me. No pain was traced on it. Not a blemish, not a trace of anything, except for tear streaks. Wings folded around her to fit inside the frame of the mirror. Lillian was standing there in her glory. She was an angel. Beauty inflicted her from head to toe. Dressed in a white gown trailing to her feet. Designs of silver tracing back up her body. She was there, but out of my reach. I placed my hands on the glass and Lillian stared back at me. "I can't believe it... Your alive!" She sobbed. "But you're... dead." I whispered.
She smiled sweetly back at me, reassuring me she was still there. I want to touch her. I want her by my side so I can hold her, and never let her go. I see a tear fall down her face as she mutter something under her breath. "What did you say?" I ask. More tears swarm her eyes and mine. "I love you. That was the last thing I wanted to say... Before I died." I fall to my knees. Cradling my self. She goes to her knees, fallowing my gaze I placed on her. "I don't want you to go.. I want to stay with you forever! I want to be with you!!!" I sobbed. Pain purged my heart leaving only the thoughts and wishes I had after I seen her. "Unfortunately... I won't be here much longer either."
"What do you mean?!"
"I wasn't suppose to be here yet... They are sending my to limbo before my judgement happens." She explained. "L-Limbo!?"
"It's where a young spirit goes since it has done no wrong, but also hasn't had a chance to prove him or herself evil yet." Bri replied behind me, wiping away her own tears trying to be strong. "She will be cast in a nightmare state for God knows how long until they reached a decision."
"T-THAT AIN'T FAIR!" I yelped. Lillian has proven herself a good person multiple times! She is worthy to be in the best place the after life could offer her! I hear Mr. Takanashi clear his throat. "We also want to make sure she isn't supernatural. We can't have a demon in the most holy place there is can we?" He follows up with a laugh. "How... Dare you." I mutter. I look at all of them with hatred. "Limbo isn't that bad, Dezi! I will be okay-"
"Last time you said that you died." I cut her off. I wasn't trying to hurt her. I wasn't trying to hurt anyone, but when I looked up I saw her hold her face with tears streaming down, then was taken away in the fog. Leaving me to see only my reflection staring back at me. Make-up smeared down my cheeks, face red from the heat here and frustration. My hair a mess. I looked like a train wreck.
I pat down my hair and fix my make-up. "Bri, can you take me home?" She nods and opens the exit. "We will keep you up to date when we find my baby girl." I hear him call out. The bricks move from behind us, locking him away to where he can't here us. "What, about Kayleigh?" Bri turns to me when we finally reach the steps to leave. I shook my head. "Cancel your guard getting her." As if on que a goofy man came and fell behind us. "MA'AM! CZER CALLED SICK, SO HE SENT ME!" He yelled loud and clear. I chuckled to myself a bit at his awkwardness, and Bri face-palmed. "I don't need her anymore. Forget the mission Charlie."
He nods then runs of, floating almost. "Who was that?" I ask. Trying to conceal my laughter. "Do you know the movie, The Gallows?" My jaw dropped. No way. She noticed, "I know right, my same reaction. He is a nice guy I guess, but get this. ANYTHING that you thought was imaginary... Is real. Even things you don't even know about." She walked towards me, pulling me right against her face to face. I blush a bit, and she laughs. Letting the black mist swarm our bodies.
Minutes later we are back in my room. I sat back on my bed relieved that we are home. "Bri, what exactly... Does limbo do?" I ask. She sighed and plopped right beside me. "You know how ghost's can haunt a house, or whatever?" I nod. "Well, it's like that.. but for her she knows where the light is. She can leave anytime she wants, but if she leaves before her time is up there then her soul is lost in the void."
"The void?" I propped on my shoulder facing her. She just stares at the ceiling trying to think of words. She finally comes to-"The void is basically everything bad people feel... Grief, fear, pain, nightmares... They all jumble up. It's considered worse than hell cause those feelings never go away. You always wish for it to be over, even wishing to be thrown in lava to just make it stop. It never does. It is like the sensation of falling into a never ending pit." I swallowed a lump in my throat. "How will she know it's time for her to leave?"
"They will call her back." She rolls over on her stomach, trapping me under her. "W-What?-" Before I could say anything else, Brianna kissed me, and went on for hours until we both fell asleep in each others arms.
