Eye's of Ink

It's been five months since Lillian died... and four weeks she came back. She stay's at my house cause she can't risk being seen again until we know what happened. Her parent's would go over the edge, and people questioning how she faked her death are not on my top priority list. Five months... and we gained a clue to where the other half of us went, but this clue can't remember her information. I love her unconditionally, yes, but to get things back to normal we need Panki here with us. We all agreed not to give up till something of her remains with us. I wont give up.

Kayleigh has moved in on the couch and Bri has set up a Transport in the closet so she can come check in as often as she needs too. Mom has moved out for a while for work in America, and offered me to go with her, but I said I needed to stay here and I can take care of the house. When she finally left we turned this place into a base of operations. We have monitor's, maps, books, anything to help find her. At nights we all stay here. Lillian moved into mine with me, Brianna in the spare right next to Panki's old room, and Kayleigh crashes down stairs cause she doesn't feel right taking the other rooms.

I fumble around moving the keyboard to the left wall's monitor, still thinking about what has happened the last few weeks. Brianna's parent's don't mind if she stays over here, and Kayleigh's parents don't know. A lot has changed inside of me ever since Lilly came back. I feel more protective, more involved with her in every way. She is too. We cling to each other's side like we are an old married couple. You can imagine that this has brought us closer together than we ever have been.

I feel someone's arms wrap around me. I turn around with Panki looking straight in my face with tears streaming down hers. "Deziree.. Please stop looking..." I reach out for her, but before I can her tears turn to an ocean around us. Her eyes as black as night with a maniacal smile worn on her face. "I will find you!" I scream back. She frowns once again and something drags her under fast. Drowning her. I feel something grab my foot too, but before I knew it I jerked up and I'm in my bed with Lillian curled up next to me. I sigh and rub my face. "Panki..." Whispering to myself I get up and slip on some pants and change my tank top to a T-Shirt. I head out and go down stairs to make breakfast. I get to the fridge and pull out the egg carton and go back to the stove. After a few minutes of letting it heat up I hear someone trot down the stairs. I turn to see Lillian with a smile on her beautiful face. "Let me take over. I haven't cooked in such a long time!" She giggled. I shrugged my shoulders with no complaint. I walk out of the Kitchen and too the living room to see Kayleigh in her natural state. Sleep.

She mumbled and groaned, but never once woke up as I stared at her. I released my gaze and went over to the chair in the corner. I curled up in the chair and traveled back to think about what my dream meant. Panki's eyes were and ink black, and she never blinked. Her ears were the same though. Which made it more like her. Her skin was grey however, which made her seem monstrous. She looked like she was in so much pain... but so much herself all at the same time. How she looked.. I didn't know how to help her. How do you help a person who wants to feel the pain? How do you help a person who doesn't seem like themselves, but is all at the same time? It's like trying to save a stranger that you've known your whole life. They are your best friend, but there is so much you don't know.

That dream just now gave me hope that she is alive. It gave me the strength to keep pushing to help her. We just need a location. "Soup's on!" Lillian yelled out. Kayleigh stunt rolled of her couch-bed, and jumped on her feet in one swift motion. I stared at her amazed. "What... are you!?" She snorted my way. "I am a really hungry person. Mess with me and my meal, and I might end up eating you too!" After saying that she took of with me trailing behind her.

Lillian had eggs, bacon, toast, and oatmeal made. She was the definition of the perfect house wife. We both stared at her with aw. "Lillian... I could kiss you." Kayleigh said. She laughed and I walked up to her. "I can." I give her a long passionate kiss, and I felt her smile under me. We broke the kiss and she rubbed her hands on my back. "Okkaaaaay.... Let's chow down-"

"Wait! How rude to eat without me." Brianna stepped down from the stairs. We all laughed and Lilly passed out each plate. As my body ate, my mind was back to that dream. Clinging on to every word that she spoke to me. Don't worry, my little beast. We will find you.

The ground slushed under my feet as I crawl out of the ocean. Coughing and wheezing, I held on to each breath with absolute care. "Panki! Are you okay?!" I here a voice come out of my mouth. "I'm fine." I muttered back. I could feel Roji shutter, but take spiritual form. No one else could see her but me, and Arriyah. Roji stretched just a tad, fixed her hat, then ran to my side. Arriyah to shape behind her frowning. "How is she gonna learn to stand up for herself, if you keep moming her?" She groaned. "Maybe cause she has no mom! That man you met is the thanks of that!" Roji barked back. How do I know these people...? How do I know their names? Coughed a bit and spit up some water. "Did you really have to drag her under?! Look at the condition you put her in! And what about that eyes trick?!" Roji began to go off.

"Quiet down, I thought you were the fun one. I had to make it seem like a dream, not real. If she knew that Panki wanted to speak with her and had that ability, she would have been corrupted. The girl is going through enough with her undead girlfriend. WHICH by the way we have to get rid of soon, mind you!" Arriyah smirked. "You leave her out of this." I said hoarse. I went through so much trouble getting her back for Dez... I can't imagine what she went through while I was gone. I could her their thought's tune to mine. "Well with my help she would have been joined with her finally, but you had to kill the wendigo during, didn't you!?" Arriyah glared at me. So she was going to make Dez kill herself!?

I scavenge for thought's in my head trying to make sense of why I see these people, how I know who they are, and how I knew that only I could see them. "When you finally kill, you gifted curse begins." Roji smiles a bit. "Gifted curse?"

"You are like that wendigo. You take spirits and survive on humans, but you are different. You are seen as the protector spirit. Whoever hurts others, and commits the ultimate crime of taking another life is the one you devour. Your mother always made you "special" food, didn't she?" My eyes widened in fear at Arriyah's words.

I'm a monster.
