I feel guilty from last night... Actually the last week. We have been doing this... since we left that place. We both knew it didn't mean anything, we even said that to each other... but still. My heart isn't ready to move on to anyone.
But somehow I kept going each day. I can't lie, it felt good to be beside her. Feeling her breath intertwine with mine, tasting the cinnamon-spice on her tongue. Her body pressed on mine, and mine on hers. Hands trailing on her. Having that last, instead of being interrupted by distractions. Falling asleep on her... It showed me that I could forget everything, and be free from my prison of heartache. I just didn't want to, not right now. I open my eyes and I never moved from last night.
Brianna was under me, her arms wrapped around waist, and my legs around her. I sit up on top of her rubbing my eyes. I look down to see her waking up. "Heeyyyyy~." She said to me. I snorted at her and started to roll off until she rolled back on top of me. "Last night..." I begin to say. She smirks. "I know you didn't want to go far. If you did-" I squeezed her arm as a sign to say stop. "Things would have gotten more... heated." She finished. Her hands traced up me to my face. I winced and she noticed. Stopping. "Can I ask.. A personal question, Bri? No getting mad and storming off." She smiles again and roles me to the top, pinning her now. "Can't go anywhere now, can I?" I clear my throat and looked at her.
"Do you still... think you like Panki?" I mutter. She frowns a bit and starts to think. "I do. Sorry." She moves me off her and props herself on some pillows. "I don't think I like her anymore... I think I am in love with her." She frowns more. Pain in her voice. "Do... You think they will ever find h-her?!" She begins to sob into a heart shaped pillow. I begin to pet her head when she exchanges the pillow for me, crying into my shoulder. "It's been months! She could be dead! W-what am I going to do with myself!? If I-I-I can't find her!!?" She wails. I stroke her hair realizing she is going through what I went through almost. "She is a strong girl." I manage to say. "She is the strongest one I know, besides you. Be stronger for her. Be there." He sobs turn to sniffles.
After a while we get up and I cook both of us breakfast. As the bacon sizzles and pops in the pan it draws me back to a memory we all shared of Panki...
"BAAAAAAACCCCCCOOOOOOOOOOONN!!!!" I here a screech come from the stairs. I go to the bottom step to check it out, but that was a big mistake. Panki crashes and lands on top of me. "WHY?!" I yell back at her. "WHY MUST I BE TACKLED!?" I hear more laughs from Lillian, Brianna, and Ken. "You were the one who offered to cook the bacon. So you get tackled by the beast!" Kayleigh rubbed the back of her neck. Panki sniffed the air then ran to the pan watching in aw. She does act like a wild animal. Gaining the strength to walk on my feet again I trot over to her. Hugging her tightly. "What are we going to do with this one?" I picked her up and swung her around. All of us laughing.
We were all so happy then. "I'll.. finish here." Bri said. She took over and I walked over to the front step. Waiting for my little beast to come tackle me.
