Kate and Josh searched for the beach to find the life boat. Twenty minutes later Kate heard a rumble. It was not like the shaking, it was different. "Josh what is that?" She asked.
"I don't know, but it's not a tsunami it is something else." They waited and thought for a while thinking what that rumbling noise could possibly be.
Josh looked up and saw smoke. Then he saw ashes falling out of the sky. "Volcano!!" Josh yelled.
"Run!!!" Shouted Kate.
They ran as fast as they could toward the beach. There was a loud rumble once more, everything was silent until the volcano suddenly erupted!
Lava ran down slowly and flooded half of the island. Kate and Josh jumped into the lifeboat and paddled to the other side of the island. The island was shaped in a circle with water inside and one exit.
"How could we not have noticed the volcano before?" Kate asked while scratching her head in curiosity.
"I don't know, but I'm glad we noticed it when we did." Josh said.
"Isn't it odd that there are terrible things happening on this island?" Kate proceeded.
"When you mention it, it does seem weird."
